August: Belated Pink Bday Cake + Patrick's Bday Too

Ready to go to swimming, but says she also wants to do ballet.  So we looked into some ballet lessons, as part of her bday gift, and found a studio in walking distance opening in September.

July: Piper's Birthday

On miss piper's birthday, when she woke up, she got to open a gift right away.  We gave her The Little Mermaid DVD, which we'd been talking about getting for her on her birthday.  But it wasn't until she turned to see that we had decorated our island in pink, pink, pink, that she realized  the day she'd been waiting for had finally come.  She'd been asking for a pink cake for her birthday for roughly six months.  While we held off on a full sized pink cake, the cupcakes and all-pink display seemed to satisfy her wishes.  

After birthday pancakes with sprinkles, she got to wear her new birthday top from Aunt Judy.  She opened her birthday scooter (sorry I think she had no pants on because she'd just woken up from nap) and tested it out.  And after dinner, there were cupcakes and candles.  Thought we'd have a bigger party for her later in the month, but the day turned out so great -- and she was so incredibly happy all day long -- we decided she didn't need anything else!
