Jack-o-Lanturns & Carmel Apples

Since Halloween was on a Sunday we didn't go out trick-or-treating...instead we carved our pumpkins and had our traditional carmel apples. YUM!!

Carson loved his pumpkin. It was small enough to hold and he carried it all around!

Almost all my children loved getting out the guts...in fact you'll see all of them did, but one.

Hunter had Papa help him carve his pumpkin. He's a pro, after all, he's been doing this for 36+ years.

Carson definately did NOT like the inside of the pumpkin. And mean old mommy made daddy put Carson's hand in the pumpkin so I could get a picture. It's priceless!

What'a Guy!!

For about a year, my husband has heard me say "complain" how much I wanted an SLR digital camera. Not just any SLR, but a Cannon Rebel. So the night before he left for Virginia he surprised me with it. I was so excited and stunned! A "just because" gift is always the best. How nice and thoughtful. And I absolutely love, love, love it!!

A street just for us!! I showed Jordan and he was excited for me. (It's actually better than his). Experimenting with my camera and getting this wrong. I'll get it eventually. Experimenting the the aperture. I'm having so much fun and learning a lot from my brother-in-law! Thanks honey!!

A Month of Celebration!!

June was full celebration in the Stokes Family. First we celebrated my niece's birthday by emailing her using her very own email address and receiving a call from her on her own cell phone. We then stayed busy with the last week of school. Next was my brother's birthday and Father's Day.The next day we celebrated Hunter's 5th birthday with Grandma and Grandpa Stokes before they headed off to Alaska.

Then the day after that we celebrated Hunter's and my dad's birthday, who were born on the same day, with family and adopted family.

The following day Connor received his Arrow of Light and crossed over to the Boy Scouts! He is the only one of my Webelos in the past 2 years that has earned all 20 pins + Religious Knot + Conservation Patch + Arrow of Light + approx 30 belt loops.

The day after that we had a bridal shower for my sister Heather.
Then Trent and I celebrated our 12 anniversary on the 27th.

We finally ended the month by celebrating Hunter's 5th birthday a third time with his friends and the Stokes side of the family.

It was defiantely an exhausting month full of celebration and activity. It made me exhausted just writing about it! The celebrations continue in July...Until then my friends!

Such a Silly Baby!

It's hard to believe my baby is 15 months old. He is still so happy and is starting to show A LOT of personality. One of his favorite things to do is put things on this head and crawl around laughing. Yes, he thinks he's funny. Another funny thing he does is tell a big "story" and laugh and then continue on with his story at times laughing as he's "talking". We all love him and are so excited to have him around.
