november & december happenings

 The day after Thanksgiving,
Taylor and I got sick with some type of flu.
It put us out for a couple days.
And Ryan got a little of it.
Only his was coming out the other end:)

After we recovered, we went to Vegas for a couple days.
Stayed at the Red Rock
and had some serious playtime with the cousins.
We also saw Eric's brother's family,
in St. George on the way home.

My kids are still sick.
They are both hacking up a lung(or two).
This is ridiculous. They have been coughing off and on for a month
and it is so intense.
They can't sleep(which means, either do we), and
they are just miserable.

Although I love a white Chrstmas,
I have been enjoying the lack of snow down here.
After living in Park City, we had enough.
It has been a nice break.

My sister in law Torie is pregnant with her 2nd.
Just some fun news to share.

I need a cook and a maid.
I love this time of year, but also hate it.
I hate that I can't keep up and
there is always to much to do.
Plus being sick put my sewing back a week,
and I am playing some serious catch up.

Taylor loves her new friends.
We have playgroup often and she gets to
have play dates with her buddy Kade
while Eric and I get date nights.
We have gone twice.
More then we ever have since taylor was born.

Ryan is a walker.
I love the beginning walking stage.
The waddle and little steps.
He loves being upright mobile, and
chasing after Tay as best he can.

I have made some great new friends in our neighborhood.
It has been so fun getting to know everyone,
And our monthly get togethers are awesome.
I love our new area and we have enjoyed living here.

This year I did all my shopping way in advance.
Usually I wait until the week of,
and I am scrambling.
But I planned ahead and it has been so nice.

My sister and her family are on there way here.
I am excited to all be together for the holidays.
Temple lights, Christmas Eve Program,
Christmas Dinner, skiing, cousins playing,
and more!

meal time

Over the last month Ryan has made meal time so hard! He would throw a fit the minute you sat him in his highchair, and then would throw his food once it was in front of him. This happened at home, out to eat, dinner with family, anywhere.

Finally I had enough and just held him in my lap while we ate. He was totally fine. Then I sat him in the chair next to me. Immediately the boy was fine! He sat there the whole time and just ate. No problems. So we kept doing that at home, and even when we were out.

The result....problem solved. No more fits and throwing food! This is such a relief when we are in public. Not that we go out much, but he kept us for going out, period. Now  I can enjoy my meal a  little more and I don't have to deal with the out of control child. Ryan loves being a big boy. Who knew all he wanted was to sit with the rest of us. So glad I figured it out! Plus, he looks cute at the table since his head is barely over the table.

game day

I know many don't want to relive the TCU/UTAH game, but we wanted to show our support and we headed up to Game Day. Eric wanted to see what it was like and basically experience what he always sees on t.v.

We had the kids up and ready to go by 7:30. We hoped to take the Front Runner to downtown, and then Trax up to the Stadium, but the Front Runner wasn't running that early so we only rode Trax. We wanted to make a experience out of it and basically do it for the kids. They loved riding the train and we really just got to Game Day, walked around, took some pics, watch a little and we were out.

Stopped for a bagel on the way home. Excited to watch the actual game on t.v, turned in to complete disappointment. Yet, the excursion was worth it and we had ourselves some fun.

halloween 2010

Halloween this year was very productive for us. The older the kids get, the more fun it is.

Earlier in the month we went to a Pumpkin Patch with my sisters family while they were in town. Ryan was having a hard time.

We went to Black Island Farm with some of the neighborhood kids.

And then we had some family fun at Scary Hill, just up the street from us. A small train ride, and mini corn maze(which was all free), followed by some frozen yogurt, made for a great night.

We ended up Trick-or-Treating at the mall because of the rain. It was a little intense and SO crowded. Not doing that again. Taylor got a small amount of candy, but just enough for her to be happy. Her and Ryan were so distracted by all the people and costumes.

my boy

Isn't he cute?

a day with 4

A couple weeks ago I helped my sister out and brought my kids up to G.Ma Kris' and G.Pa Jim's, and watched the kiddos for the day. It was packed full of good fun and besides the multiple poopy diapers I dealt with all day...it was great. Jack and Taylor entertain themselves and Ryan and Kate try to tag along. Poor Kate would get left behind when they would all go up the stairs, she would cry from below. So sad:(

The kids hung out in their PJ's and played monster trucks, while the little ones had breakfast.

Then we found some Playdoh

Ryan showed us some walking skills

We took a walk...in somewhat cold and raining weather. But it was what they wanted to do all day.

Stopped and the park to play. See the bee...it would not leave us alone.
I love Jacks face!

The little ones played while Taylor and Jack made G.Ma a picture from the leaves they picked up on the walk.

Taylor loves Jack and it was fun to let them play. 4 was not bad.
All their sleeping schedules are the same so it worked out great.
No we just need to make our way down south for a visit!

random

Ryan loves to play in with his reflection in the garbage can, and oven door.
He smiles and laughs at himself, then will lay down on the ground and watch himself roll in his reflection.
So random and so funny.

And Ryan was buzzed lately because I was trimming his hair line.
He kept moving and it kept getting shorter and shorter.
Eric said we had to shave it because it looked ridiculous.
I didn't argue.

Tay and I were just hanging out in my room one night.
I wanted to take pictures of her:
