We may have activities to do, like games or quizzes or you can bring your own thing to do too. If you are new to The Wolfpack or prefer being in a smaller group, then this is the ideal group for you.

MHFA Champion

– An understanding or common mental health issues
– Knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness
– Ability to spot signs of mental ill health
– Skills to support positive wellbeing

Mental Health First Aider

A 2-day course that covers all of the content in Aware and Champion, with additional info on:
– How to provide first-level support and early intervention
– Practising active listening and empathy
– Boundaries and confidentiality of the role
Completion of the course gives access to the Association of Mental Health First Aiders for 3 years.

Refresher

MHFA training should be kept up to date every three years to keep knowledge and skills current.
This is a 4 hour session for those that have done the full 2-day course and want to recertify.

Testimonials

I completed the training as a refresher. It was great to sharpen my skills and learn from the experience of other people in the room.

⎯ Rae, Youth Worker

I didn’t realise loneliness would have such an impact on wellbeing, but now I have a greater understanding of how to recognise it and better look after myself and the students I work with.

⎯ Ashley, Support Worker

My key takeaway was how much language has changed around different mental health issues, so I am more confident in using the right terms now.

⎯ Joe, Service Manager

I learned so much with the real-life examples and information provided. It’s helped so much in my role to understand more and have a greater empathy towards staff and clients.

⎯ Nicki, Service Manager
