Denise and I are going to look at some lab puppies tonight. A co-workers friends dog had 15 puppies last month. 15!!!
And there are only 4 left. 3 black and 1 chocolate. So here's the question and it's a 2 parter.

I had a black female when I was a kid and she was the absolute best dog ever. In fact all of my pets have always been girls. But maybe it's time for a boy.

EDIT: Do you think a boy would be more inclined to be protective towards the kids then a girl? or vice versa? or neither?
This is something I plan on takin the puppy to training school for.

I'm sure most have heard about the group caught in Canada plotting a terrorist attack. They were found with 3 tons of ammonium nitrate, weapons, and other explosive type materials and apparently had previously been tagged by the FBI for suspicious activities. Great, score one for the good guys.

but.....

this morning on the news I saw a Canadian official of some sort (police I think), being criticized for allegedly targeting these guys because they were Muslim. Are you fucking kidding me?!?!?! I guess it doesn't matter that they were essentially caught red handed??

So here's the gist of the story. A man has sexual contact with a 12 year old girl over the course of several months.
He's found guilty and sentanced. His sentence? 10 years probation.
Why?
Because he's short.
You read right, he's 5'1" and was given probation because he would have to hard of a time in jail.
"Joe Mangano, secretary of the National Organization of Short Statured Adults, agreed with the judge’s assessment that Thompson would face dangers while in prison because of his height."
Mangano says "I’m assuming a short inmate would have a much more difficult time than a large inmate,” said Mangano, who is 5 feet 4 inches tall. “It’s good to see somebody looking out for someone who is a short person.”

1) They make it sound like someone 5'1" is abnormal
2) Who's looking out for the 12 year old???
