I'm back!
Sorry to be away for so long, but my laptop died BIG time, and I needed to get a replacement. Of course, buying anything in Japan is a challenge.
Me: I'll take this one.
Salesguy: This one is not in English.
Me: I know. I know how to get it into English though, so don't worry.
Him: You should buy an English computer.
Me: Those cost nine times as much. I'll just switch this one over. It'll take me five minutes.
Him: We have three English models.
Me: Each of which cost thousands of dollars. I want this $500 computer. Please sell it to me.
Him: I will check with my supervisor to see if we can sell this computer to you.
Dude... take my money!!! Just take it!
As you can see, I have got it running in English already.
Still, it's gonna take me a while to catch up with my flist, since I&ve had no access for the last couple of days and even though it's running in English now, a lot of the keys are mislabelled. The brackets, quote marks and apostrophes are under the wrong keys - it's a fic writer's nightmare! So I'll be sorting this one out for a while. Help me out - if you've written anything fascinating in the last couple of days, please link me to it!
