Let me begin by saying, I have no problem at all with being fanserviced. I get that I'm very unlikely to ever see Dean and Cas ride off into the sunset together in an Impala draped with crepe paper flowers, so thank you show for giving me such awesome subtext.
"Dean and I do share a deeper bond." "I wasn't going to say anything." Honestly, I do get that it's not what's intended, but should the fic-muse require I can happily put on my slasher-goggles and pretend Cas was implying they'd done the horizontal tango without having to change the dialogue or the reactions to make it work. Show - you rock. Thanks for that.
Speaking of fanservice, holy shit - Padalecki is RIPPED! Was that really him, or did they use a body double? What fantastic shoulders our Sammy has!
I like Balthazar, I like the idea of the Heavenly treasure trove being raided, I totally LOVED the creeptastic scene with the dude getting his head eaten by locusts. So chilling - a great three minutes of TV worthy of any horror film.
But can we just give Sam a sign that says "this is to remind you I'm an asshole now"? That way, we can get the point without him paying for sex or doing anything else unsammylike. Just hold up the sign ever 12 minutes or so? I'll even make it for him.
Does anyone else get the feeling that Sam really didn't WANT Dean talking to Cas? Something about the really satisfied way he said "Son. of. a . Bitch." felt a bit odd. But then, Cas kinda verified that Sam had been trying to reach him, so I don't know.
Also, I've decided on a ship name for Bobby/Crowley. They shall be known as Blobby. Please spread the word!
