I'm going to go back and read everyone's thoughts on the finale in a few days. I just want a little while to digest it all myself first.
I know it's all controversial and stuff and there will be discussions about characters and where it should all go/have gone, but can anyone honestly say that was not spectacular televison? The twists and turns, the moodiness, the use of light and sound, the SURPRISES. I'm spoiled to the gills (filthy habit I must break and probably won't) and it still managed to surprise me. Awesome!
The thing is, whether or not you agree with what the show did, I think it did it really well.
I actually don't kow if I'll watch next season. I was so satisfied with this as a high point that it feels like a great place to get off the train. But I'll probably feel different next September when I've been deaing with SPN cravings for a while.
