Do you think Castiel meant to bring down Sam's wall, or was he just trying to induce a coma and the wall thing was an accident?
When you think about it, there was no logic to bringing the wall down, save punishing the Winchesters. Dean was going be panicked as soon as Sam blacked out, no matter what was going on in his head. And if he did intend to bring the wall down out of anger at Sam and Dea, why promise to heal Sam later?
So maybe he just wanted the boys out of the fight, and the wall came down unintentionally?
