Yay and ugh...
Just got back from G's wedding trip! It was positively lovely (yay!) though I have a horrible cold (ugh) and was therefore high on Theraflu the whole night. The doctor says it is totally safe to take while pregnant, but I am still convinced the baby will be born lemon-scented.
The wedding was gorgeous! My own wedding was very small and simple, since we didn't have a lot of money at the time (Masashi was paying his sister's tuition and I had just finished grad school) so the whole big-sparkly-wedding thing still feels very fairy-tale to me. G looked like a goddess and never stopped smiling the whole night, which was fantastic to see.
It was just great to reconnect with her as well. Neither of us could sleep the night before the wedding (my head was all stuffed up and she was, you know, getting MARRIED the next day) so we spent several hours putting various toppings on bowls of popcorn and watching old episodes of Deep Space Nine, which was our favourite thing to do back when we lived together (Id forgotten how damn SMART that show was; we had excellent TV taste back then!). It was a really nice way to be reminded of how far we've come. Wonder where we'll in another 15 years!
