It's been a lil while

Sep. 10th, 2009 | 10:20 am

Ok, I'm guilty. Haven't been writing here much. Nothing much changed in my life since last time I made a post. Acer repairing took like +5 weeks, but got it back finally after 3 calls. Bought a new tv, 50" FullHD for 2000euros. It's better be good! And never break down. Today I sent couple of my jewellry designs to a competition.

Testing Acer customer service

Feb. 5th, 2009 | 09:25 pm

Last weekend one of my Acer 24" screens started to show signs of breaking. The screen flickered from up to down for 15secs then down to up another 15secs and then it was normal. This happened every time I turned it on or if it tried to return from power saving mode. I took video from this little "action". I guess I need to post it somewhere when I have time. Or then not. Anyway, this gave me a good opportunity to test how Acer customer services work. The monitor was 2 years old LCD with one more year of warranty left.

Yesterday I called Acer support, I had no problem in getting through. I called in the morning after 9am. I had taken serial number up on paper. After I explained how the monitor acted I received RMA number and a phone number where to order pickup. Today I called the number I got, gave them the RMA number and address. They could have told me that I'm supposed to pack it, but I guess they forgot. not everyone keep their monitor box lying around, especially when it's a little on the big side, like 24" monitors. Well we had many empty boxes at work (yes, I gave address to my work, because that is where I'm daytime anyway). They came to get the monitor like one hour later. Quite fast I would say :).

So, so far so good. This was the day one. Lets see how long it will take.

...To be continue...

My birthday for the year

Oct. 14th, 2008 | 09:01 pm

Ok, it was that time of the year again. Birthday. I think I hate them. Got some nice things. I got beads in a pretty box and beading magazine. Then I got a book memoirs of a geisha. I liked the movie so I have high hopes for the book. T got me Geometrics wars retro evolved. It's a strange game, but I have found myself playing it everyday a little. It's like oldschool space shooter game that actually never ends. My version is for wii, but I know it's for xbox360 and PC.

Huge hail storm.

Jun. 9th, 2008 | 09:26 am

2 days ago I bought a new digital camera. Canon EOS 450D, cost like hell, but didn't take long for it to get into some action. This morning around 6:15 I woke up in terrible noise. Hail storm hit us. Our apartment is highest apartment and metal roof is just above us. I jumped up, took my camera, it was too dangerous to go outside. And trying to take pictures through the window was too hard to get anything decent. There was so much rain that window glass basically become liquid. At some point I remember hails coming down hitting the window that I took couple of steps back, noise was horrible I was scared that the window make break. Well good thing was that the window didn't break. It was cool, soon as it calmed down a bit I opened balcony door and took some photos. And here they are.

Beads beads!

Jun. 4th, 2008 | 07:53 pm

I ordered more beads couple of weeks ago from netherlands. Those arrived today. I also installed this windows live writer and testing it if this thing works with livejournal.  Today's bead order includes:

10x small metal apples

10x small metal locks

10x small metal fishes

10x small metal moons

20x small metal leaves

5x small metal suns

20x small metal corn cob

30x small metal hearts

10x big brown heart shells

30x rectangle yellow shells

45x metal tubes

I've been working in same place where I started last January. Today was a busy day. Problems with network, excel using, projector, more network, and even more network problems, adobe problems, windows defender problems, printer problems, even more printer problems and even more printer problems. All with different printers. There was a lot more, but I can't even remember those.

I also got couple of orders, but I'm too lazy and tired right now to do any jewelry.

Boring, it seems like all good tv-shows are on a break now. Blah, just when I have time to watch tv. My vacation is starting in couple of weeks.

Hellos

I haven't written here in long long time. I got a new job and a nice raise. Lets hope I can keep the job. :).

Last Sunday I went to local Dogshow. It was a two day show with about 5000 dogs. Mona's breeder got BIS-4 and BIS 1 Vet dogs. Great day for her. Mom and I were cheering there. Nice day.

On same day rottweiler attacked that same family's kid and kid got killed. Happened in their own yard.. parents were inside the house. Both rottweilers were put in sleep immediately. Family had two rottweilers and I guess they didn't know which one killed the 10 years old boy or most likely they were so shocked that they wanted to get rid of everything that reminded them about dogs. Rately happens here that dog kills a human, couple of times every 10 years. Of course the media is full of shit about dogs and how angry they are etc. My opinion is that still more kids kill their own parents. You get to read many times a year how mom killed all her kids, or dad killed the whole family, or brother killed little sister etc. OR how some kid shooted 30 other kids in school. Human is many times worse than dogs.

I should do some closet cleaning today. Easter is coming soon which means couple of days off from work. 4 days to be exact.

I accidently deleted somebody's order at work, which probably led to some kid not to get his/her present.
