A World Without Hunger Starts with Women

Our approach to creating a world without hunger starts with women. They are essential change agents, yet they continue to face barriers like limited access to education, health, nutrition, economic opportunities and local politics.

After engaging with The Hunger Project’s programs, women are redefining what’s possible. In Peru, women are stepping into entrepreneurship and sharing knowledge with their neighbors. In India, women are being elected to government. In Ghana, women are engaging with Vision, Commitment and Action (VCA) workshops and gaining invaluable skills that can be applied in their daily lives. Join us in partnering with resilient women advancing gender equality and creating a world without hunger for all.

Lighting the Future in Malawi

In Champiti, Malawi, access to electricity at the epicenter gives young girls like Joana and Maness a safe space to study and pursue their dreams of serving their community.

Digital Pathways for Ghana’s Youth

In Ghana, where young people face limited economic opportunities, The Hunger Project is investing in a future rooted in skills, leadership and innovation. With support from partners, a new ICT Training Center is opening doors to digital literacy, entrepreneurship and safe, inclusive spaces for youth to thrive.

Hunger is about more than food.
It’s about people.

Top-down, aid-driven charity models fail to create lasting change in the lives of those in need. To achieve a sustainable solution to world hunger, we need to support those living in hunger with access to education and tools that foster self-reliance.

An international nonprofit that works where it matters.

The Hunger Project is more than a hunger relief organization or global charity. We focus on building self-reliance at the grassroots level, working with women as key change agents and forming effective partnerships with local governments to create a lasting impact.

Together, we can end world hunger.

Whether you can invest time or money, everyone has a role to play in sustainably ending world hunger. When one person is trained, the ripple effect reaches children, spouses, neighbors and entire communities. Real progress is made when we all work together.
