We went to the dentist back in February and he recommended we take Brax to an orthodontist. I asked around and found one that a lot of people recommended. It's nice that he's here in Hurricane as well. We got an evaluation done in April. We found out that one of Braxy's teeth was growing in at an angle towards the back of his mouth and that his teeth are all crowded. We had to return to the dentist to have two teeth extracted. If you know Brax, you know he's kind of a wimp and freaks out so they had to use the gas. He did attend school that day and all was well.
A week later we headed back to the orthodontist. We love Simister Orthodontics! They're really good with kids. Brax was hyperventilating and having a come apart so it took a while to get his braces on. They finally got his mouth all ready when the hyperventilating began, but with me holding his hand and the team quickly placing brackets, we were able to get the braces on. He likes changing the colors and is having fun with it. We'll get to have another series done in 3 or 4 years, but this one will only last 14 months.

Baby Blessing Day
The second weekend in April was the weekend for baptisms and Fast Sunday. Our niece, Jacey, was getting baptized that weekend so since family was going to be all together we decided to bless Jenna the same weekend. We had everyone from our families there in support and we really appreciated it. Jenna was given an amazing blessing from her Heavenly Father through her earthly father. I know that she's an amazing spirit and we're grateful to have her as part of our family. She is also blessed to have three cousins her age that she's able to play with. The only kicker is that she's the only girl, but she'll have fun anyway.
My mom made her gorgeous dress. I'm grateful to have a mom that is so talented. I made her headband to match. Following church we headed to the Old Schoolhouse in Venice and had a luncheon. It was great to see everyone.

Blessing Day
She was not happy. We finally got her to sleep and she woke up just in time for her blessing!

Easter 2013
This year for Easter we headed up to see family. It seems like the holidays are so much more fun when you have family to spend time with. Brax got a few days off of school so we headed up to Sevier County. We were able to spend a few days. Jenna was only 2 1/2 months old so she had no idea what was going on. This year we were able to roll Easter eggs with both families. We had lunch with the Oldroyds in Glenwood and dinner in Venice with the Cowleys. Everyone was there from Branden's family, but from my side it was only my one sister and her family, us, and my dad. It was a different year but fun anyway.
Branden's brother's family came to stay with us and the two babies had fun playing!
We tie dyed eggs at home before heading up with family.
Brax got cleats for baseball!
Jenna got a mat.

Spring Break 2013
With Jenna being so small and us trying to prevent her from getting sick, we decided to spend Spring Break at home this year. Brax had a few things to finish up on his Bear for Cub Scouts so we decided to make that our task. Branden took the whole week off work so we could hang out as a family and have fun. We decided to go for a hike and picnic on one of the days. We headed over to the cinders on the nature preserve. Branden took Jenna in the baby backpack and Brax and I just hiked. Jenna was just two months old and I hadn't worked out a lot yet so it wore me out but it was fun anyway! We then headed to Stout Park for lunch and Brax could play on the playground. It was a nice day and I'm glad we got to do it.
Seagull Take Over
One day back in March, during Spring Break, we were sitting at the computer when we heard screaming outside so we decided to go and check it out. We find all the kids running through the neighborhood and tons of seagulls flying over head. All of us parents headed out to check it out. A few of us got some bread out for the kids to throw which made even more seagulls show up. It was crazy, but the kids loved it. They hung out for about half an hour but it got us all out visiting and laughing as we watched the kids!
