I don't think this is going to come as a surprise to most of my flist but I'm really, really proud of my drabbles.  I think probably half of the stories I've posted are 100 words long and that's kind of amazing (to me anyway).  I never really knew what a drabble was until another meme came around, wow, four years ago, challenging you to take prompts from your flist and write drabbles from them.  Well, I took the plunge and my flisties gave me some kick ass prompts and, though I love my long fic too, I caught the drabble bug and just kept on going with them.  Crafting a compelling, coherent story (with a twist if I can manage it)in 100 words is such a challenge and it teaches a lot to me for my longer stories.  When you've only got 100 words to use to get your point across, you've got to make sure each one is necessary and does its job just right.  It comes in handy when I get wordy in my longfic.  :)  When people tell that they can't believe that there was so much impact in just 100 words I'm the most gleeful Tif ever.  It's such a great compliment.  Lots of people don't read drabbles (what's up with that?), but so many of you do and I'm so grateful.  Thank you for giving an alternate way to tell a story a chance!  I can't decide on just one so I'm going to link to a couple and just put the links to my gen and wincest drabbles up too.  I know it's greedy of me to not have just one, but I can't.  It was hard with the longfic, for this it'd be impossible.

In the final movement of Symphonie fantastique (1830), described by Berlioz as a “diabolical orgy”, a lovelorn artist who has attempted suicide by opium poisoning (but not with a lethal dose as intended) has a tripped-out vision of witches, sorcerers and monsters assembled at his funeral.
