Basketball Ty

Terry's dream come true...

A little boy that already loves balls. He would do this all day if he could, which is GREAT! No mess, no disaster, no clean up...awesome!

Happy Birthday Zack!!

What?? He's 6! That's all I seem to hear lately...YES! He is 6 years old! Sorry, just had to get that off my chest...
Happy Birthday Zack! We love you and all your quirks! Here is the big birthday boy blowing out the candles:

The roller coast tycoon game we got him. He loves these games and is really great at them too!
ImageAnd here he is with the ladder ball game he got. I think he likes it...I hope he does!
ImageAnd of course I have to share this cute little picture of Zack 6 years ago.

Hope this year is GREAT for you Zack! Love you!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!

Once again, I am playing catch up. What can I say...better late than never. In this case it's probably true.
First of all...Happy Birthday Breckan!! Seven years old and totally rockin' it!
Image
We love you, Breckan and can't wait to see what this year brings to you!

Secondly... Merry Christmas! This year we spent most of Christmas with the Bradley side of the family. We ended up sleeping at their house Christmas Eve since they always get up at 4 am Christmas morning. We had such a fun time, but hopefully next time we can convince Mom that 4 am is a little early and maybe something like 6 would be better. I know... good luck with that one...she's been getting up that early on Christmas for I don't know how long. We can always try, though, right? Anyway, here is Kira and Dad, bright and early. Can you still call it "bright" if the sun isn't even up? Image
Tyson and Grandma waiting for everyone to be ready to go downstairs and see what Santa brought. As you can see, Mom is crazy about Christmas! Aw Mom, I love you!

Santa came!

My sister got a puppy for Christmas, she had been begging for one for awhile. She also got a boyfriend around the same time...I'm not sure she really has time for the puppy anymore...just sayin'.

And the best present of all! (Which I didn't get a picture of ): )
Lagoon Season Passes!
Too bad we have to wait until April to use those...
ImageTerry's mom got one too, so that will be fun!
Next on the list...
Happy Birthday Terry! Terry celebrated his 30th birthday the day after Christmas. Unfortunately Terry is so so busy at work during the month of December (the joys of working retail) that we didn't get to celebrate much on his birthday. We did take him some balloons and birthday cake to share with everyone at work. I also gave him a night at the Anniversary Inn, hopefully when it slows down at Kohls we can get away for a night and just relax a little! He worked ALL NIGHT long on his birthday putting items on clearance at Kohls. Not the greatest birthday ever I'm sure...
We love you Terry/Dad! Happy 30th! I can't believe you are that old, mostly because I am right behind you...yuck!
As a side note, Terry got a huge promotion last November, we are so proud of him! He is now an assistant manager at Kohls. Only one more step to being manager of the whole store! Awesome! Great job, honey! I wish I had a picture with just Terry in it, but I guess I don't. Oh well, apparently we need to get him in front of a camera more often!
ImageAnd lastly, HAIRCUTS! I gave Terry a Robocut for Christmas- one of those hair cutting machines that hooks up to a vacuum. This was sorely needed as a certain one year old boy in our family will not hold still for anything and we were terrified of cutting his hair because of that. Hence, Tyson was up for a haircut first. First haircut ever on Tyson! He needed it so bad, as you can see...

I know they are all three at different times, but I was trying to find the best picture for each scenario. Anyway, it looks so much better now! Hooray! Zack also got his haircut, but he looks mostly the same.
Image
Breckan and Kira also got haircuts. We did theirs with the Robocut, too. Probably won't ever do that again...Kira's turned out ok, but Breckan's ended up way uneven so Terry ended up just evening it all out with scissors and it's super short now. It looks so different...the first day I almost cried every time I looked at her. It's really cute, though and she loves it, so I guess that all that matters. Also, thankfully, it will grow out. Hopefully some day she can forgive me for being an impulsive, not really thinking things through kind of Mom... Terry will want me to add right here the fact that I was the one with the idea and the one that made him do it- as he pointed out several times while he was finishing up. So embarrassing.
Anyway, here's the proof of my insanity...

So, there you have it. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Happy Birthday Tyson!

So I am just finally getting around to blogging about Tyson's birthday which was more than a month ago! That is what happens when you forget to bring your camera to the party and so you "borrow" your mother-in-laws and then you have to somehow remember to bring a CD to her house, remember to take the CD out, remember to put the pictures on the CD, remember to bring the CD home, remember to get the CD out and put the pictures on the computer and then finally, remember to blog about the pictures that you finally remembered to get. (I fully realize that was probably the longest run-on sentence you have ever seen.) Anyway, after all that remembering I finally get to blog about his birthday! First off...here is Tyson newly born and adorable:

and here is Tyson, one year old and even more adorable (if that is even possible.)

We started out his special day with a trip to Gardner Village. My dad just got a job working for them, so he gave us a tour of his office. It was really fun to see where he works. He has a great big, beautiful office and we are so excited for him! After that we walked around and saw all the witches and decor they had up for Halloween. I wish I would have remembered the camera, there were some really cool witches there. Oh well, we will have to go again next year.
After strolling around Gardner Village we headed back to Grandma Tilley's house for lunch and PARTY!
For lunch we had soup and rolls.
For dessert we had this AMAZING birthday cake that my sister-in-law Maria made. I'm telling you she is a whiz with cakes and this one was no exception. She was even nice enough to let me help make it (actually I mostly just watched her amazingness!) I love the little fire cupcakes she did alongside the fire truck. SO COOL!Image

Here is the little fire hydrant she did for Tyson to destroy and dig into.

And of course you can't have a fire truck party without getting a fire truck!

We love little Tyson! He is a get into everything, keep on moving, give me what I want kind of guy and he keeps us happy (and frustrated) and on our toes (by far more than any other kid in our family.) Just for the record, yesterday Tyson ripped all of the quilts off the quilt rack, played in a toilet (that someone had forgotten to flush (gross)), unloaded the wipes container and ripped them into little edible pieces, threw spaghetti all over the floor and rubbed it in his hair and face (hence bath #2 for the day), repeatedly pushed any and all buttons on the T.V. just to get a reaction out of all of us, unloaded the drawers in the kitchen and all the pots and pans, grabbed the kitchen towels from off the oven and threw them on the floor, and got sent to bed early because I just couldn't take any more! Here is a picture of him in action at Grandma Tilley's.

Crazy, crazy boy. Love you Tyson!
