Lampara Debate Open : Late Registration
As we celebrate Women’s Month, we find ourselves reflecting on the Filipino cultural moniker for women: “Ilaw ng Tahanan” (The Light of the Home). It is a title of endearment, acknowledging warmth and guidance. However, it also reveals a limitation—that this light belongs only within the confines of a house. For far too long, the voices of women and the youth have been expected to flicker quietly in the background, often silenced by tradition or the noise of a world that refuses to listen.

We believe it is time to take that light out of the shadows.

We named this tournament Lampara (The Lamp) to symbolize a shift. A lamp does not just illuminate a home; it guides travelers through the dark. We envision this tournament as an avenue where those silenced voices can finally be amplified. We are committed to fostering a safe space for healthy discourse; an environment where intellect is respected, and every speaker is heard without fear.

The proceeds of every tournament that Parliamate hosts will go to offering financial help to underfunded teams to join competitions especially major ones. Moreover, it will be used to host free workshops, lectures, and trainings.

Late registrations are accepted until March 11, 2026. THERE ARE NO LATE REGISTRATION FEES

Early Bird Registration Fee: PHP 200/ 5 USD per speaker
Regular Registration Fee: PHP 300 / 8 USD per Speaker
Regular Judge Registration Fee: PHP 300 / 8 USD per Judge
Ghost Judge Fee: PHP 300 / USD 8 per Team

Tournament Cap: 100 Teams
Judge Rule: N=N (1 Team, 1 Judge)
Preliminary Rounds: 4 

Breaks: All Breaks are subject to change upon turn out. If there'd be any changes, the Organizing Committee will be announcing during the first day
