Wagging Tales Teacher-Led Curriculum is an eight-lesson program that fosters social and emotional competence as well as literacy skills in K-12 students. Educators utilize the lessons and activities in the way that works best for their students. All participating classrooms receive:
  • Electronic copies of age-appropriate lessons, activities, and supplemental resources.
  • Reading materials, a t-shirt, and an “adopted” stuffed dog for their classroom.
  • Classroom visit with a dog ambassador

Material Agreement & Non-Disclosure Contract

I understand and agree that the materials provided to me by the Maryland SPCA in conjunction with the Wagging Tales (WT) Program remain the possession of the Maryland SPCA and are being provided to me for the express use in teaching the curriculum.

 

In addition, I understand the WT lesson curriculum is not to be shared with others who are not approved to teach the WT Program. It shall not be emailed, copied, or shared/saved in any way with anyone. Each individual teacher/class must be registered with the Maryland SPCA and will receive lessons directly from them.

 

Further, I agree not to copy or create a similar likeness of the WT Program for any use.


I agree that by accepting the WT Program classroom materials (listed below), I understand that the lesson plans are only to be used in conjunction with the teaching of the WT program. I agree to provide feedback throughout the school year to help improve the WT program in the future.

 

Classroom Materials Include:

• Stuffed dog as “adopted” classroom pet

• Books (3-5 per class)

• Bag and t-shirt for the teacher

• Access to full curriculum

 

I understand that the Maryland SPCA has limited funding and cannot afford to provide materials to classrooms who are not actively teaching the program. If at any time I choose to not teach the program, I will return the materials to the MD SPCA or reimburse them in the amount of $85. If the materials are damaged or lost, I will report immediately to the MD SPCA. Further, I agree to remove, delete, and dispose of any lessons, and activities. The MD SPCA reserves the right to waive the materials fee in certain circumstances.
