TMBG denied on Jeopardy!
Yeah, I know it wasn't required, but I was still a little bummed. Tonight there was a whole category on James K. Polk, and nary a mention of the song. |

Other TMBG communities
I just want to take a moment to plug the community tmbg_dreams, because it really needs to have some people posting there other than me all the time--there hasn't been a post by another person since 2010! And while I'm at it I'll endorse my two FABULOUS TMBG fanfic communities, tmbgfanfic and tmbg_challenge. Come! Write! Current Mood: okay |

Does anyone still read this page????
Well, I am looking for a way to share something awesome I just noticed with the TMBG fan base. I sent a private message to the facebook community about it and they have not posted anything. I know that if any of you are huge fans like me, you have been looking everywhere for the film TMBG took their name from. Some of you I am sure have been fortunate enough to find it, but the vast majority probably have not. Well, I just noticed that it was very recently posted on the Netflix stream. If you or any of your friends have this service, you can finally see this movie on demand. I watched it the other night and it is absolutely brilliant, a totally worthy namesake for the best band ever. I just wanted to make sure other fans knew about this. |

TMBG in Brooklyn Show #1 Report
So I just saw the three shows TMBG did in Williamsburg. Needless to say THEY WERE PRETTY FANTASTIC, particularly the first one. I'm still in the process of typing up my show reviews, but here's the one for the first one. Pictures are here. ( reviewCollapse ) Current Mood: cheerful |

NEW SONGS
There are videos of the songs from Nanobots that TMBG premiered on Saturday up on Youtube. This is the title track, which is MY FAVOURITE, and if you check that channel it also has the other ones we'd never heard before ("Circular Karate Chop," "Insect Hospital," and "Lost My Mind"), plus the debut of "Call You Mom." I SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY love "Nanobots," "Circular Karate Chop" is so rockin', and I already knew "Call You Mom" was great. GETTING SERIOUSLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS ALBUM YOU GUYS. Current Mood: excited |

TMBG Tourist's Guide to NYC
So I'm planning to make a new section of my site that will be a guide to TMBG-related places to visit in New York. Any ideas for things I should include? Things I've already thought of: Direct from Brooklyn video sites, the cafe from the Flood promo, the "for more copies send $2 to" address for the flexi, Darinka, the "Four of Two" clock. So, yeh, please give me suggestions if you have them. |

Let's get some discussion up in here!
I remember back in the day when a new album would come out and a few of you guys would break it down and review it. I'm not going to go into that much detail here, but I would like to talk about Album Raises New and Troubling Questions since it seems no one has done so yet. I enjoyed the album a lot. I know it's just a b-sides deal, but it's fun and enjoyable. My personal favorite song on the album is Marty Beller Mask, which might be the cause for the album's name. IS Marty Beller really Whitney Houston? The world may never know. After that I just straight up LOVED all of the full orchestra versions of their older songs at the end of the album. How about you guys? Thoughts? Own posts? |
