Pokagon
We were able to stop on our way home from Michigan and try out this refrigerated Toboggan track at Pokagon State Park. It was very fun, but I thought we looked like a human pretzel with our legs wrapped around the person in front of us (we went four on a sled). I think our top speed was around 35mph on the 1/4 mile track. Pretty fast, cold wind in your face!
Lansing
Lansing was much more fun for us! We went to the MSU Museum, swam at the hotel pool, ate ice cream and cheese curds at the MSU creamery, and visited the Nokomois Indian Cultural Center to name a few. The kids decided that they must take after their Tutu since they were so excited to buy animal furs. T got a rabbit pelt, Ch a gray fox tail and SM got a racoon tail! The boys managed to get some soccer in of course and I got to do laundry! SM even managed to do a little fishing... It was fun, but we were glad to get home in time for Christmas.

Detroit
Detroit was an interesting spot to sightsee. We woke up to the view of a cemetary out our window for starters. Then we travelled through, as the kids would describe it, the ghettos of East Detroit to find a way to Belle Island. We were able to see Windsor, Canada from the island, be stalked by black squirrels, and see a lot of pretty old structures. I would have love to see the island in it's prime!
