Previous comments on Evernote

“collecting resources and making notes so I can find it easily in the future. I also collect notes of any courses or learning I’ve done here. A way to keep my IP organized.” 2024

“I am interested in so much, and can’t remember more than a tiny fraction of what I read and see anymore. When I read an interesting article about meeting design, facilitation, a technical hack, or a tasty-looking recipe, I know that I’m not going to remember how to find it again in a week, month or year. So I capture it in Evernote.” Adrian Segar, author, Conferences That Work, USA, 2022

“still the best online notetaking app” Andrew Jacobs, L&D, UK, 2021

“Brilliant for storing, archiving and sharing collections of researched data for Genealogists and anyone who is a researcher.” CoachCarole, Author, Teacher, Course designer, Genealogist, Australia, 2021

Evernote and OneNote: “I use these both equally because I work between Windows and Mac (for work 9-5 where as a Microsoft consultant I need to be using these) and OneNote Pro (for my outside life because I use Apple products on my iMac.) To be fair OneNote 2019 is a far superior product to Evernote so there will come a time to bite the bullet and go over to Windows and Microsoft on my Macs too. For the purposes of this survey, just say OneNote 2019 (not the generic OneNote that comes with O365 subscriptions because this is the lite version of the Enterprise OneNote 2019 which is a learning system unto itself).” Helen Blunden, Community Manager, Australia, 2020

“I like to use the Seek Sense Share framework from Harold Jarche to help my personal knowledge management. So, Evernote is the central piece of my PKM system, where I store all my notes, references, project overviews there.” Victor Couto Alves, KM Specialist, Brazil, 2020

“Have been using as my cloud app for note taking, capturing learnings, easy categorization (notebooks) and tagging for search” Catherine Shinners, Advisor, Consultant, USA, 2020

“storing and finding important resources” Karen Caldwell, education developer, organizational developer, assistant professor, USA, 2020

“It’s all about organizing and decluttering the note-taking process. Enhance your notes with links, checklists, tables, , 2019attachments, and audio recordings. You can even search your own hand-written notes.” Global Manager of Technology Learning Center, USA

“My personal knowledge repository: Everything at my fingertip.” Trainer/Consultant, Switzerland, 2019
