My name is Basil Wright and I am a game designer and cultural consultant. I’m available for work for 2025!

My work has appeared in Spellbound: A Magical Mystery, Pathfinder NPC Core, Backchannels, All the Witches, Starfinder Bounty #11, and as part of Disability Madison’s Black and Disabled Virtual Showcase. I’ve recently released Housekeeping, a tabletop roleplaying game about Bremlins, Brownie-Goblin hybrids, that secretly help their human roommate tidy up the home.

My writing and game design focuses on creating works that are hopeful and provide joy to others as we travel through this world together. I’m also skilled in converting works into a particular tone, such as with The Afrodyssey. I have provided sensitivity and cultural consultations for multiple tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs), such as Stewpot, Little Wolves, and the Cosmere RPG.
