Why hello there, shiny new journal. *_*
May. 14th, 2009 05:23 amI put off making a first post till I figured out what the hell I want to do with this journal, and that's finally happened now, one month after creating this and at 5 am. :P Since I've got a permanent account on LJ and don't plan on leaving, I'm not going to be importing my entries or cross-posting or anything like that. My LJ has gotten to be a somewhat public place, so I guess it would make sense for this to be a personal journal?

As for everyone else, I'm going to make this a strictly opt-in thing, because I don't want to just assume anyone is that eager to live vicariously through some random, nerdy graduate student. So I've removed everyone from my access list for now, but will add you back if you want to be. :)
In the next few days I'm also going to start actively checking this flist (slist? rlist?), which means I'll probably unsubscribe from you if I've got you friended on LJ and you're cross-posting everything (or if you'd rather I follow you here instead of on LJ, you can comment to that effect), so it would help a lot if you could fill out this poll:

By the way, what do Friends Only banners for Dreamwidth say? I mean, I have a difficult time imagining banners that say "Access Only" or something. :P
