Kindergarten Graduation

Riley graduated from Kindergarten this year. He loved going to school everyday. In his kindergarten graduation program each kid told what their favorite thing about kindergarten was. Riley said, "My favorite thing about kindergarten was planting one of Mrs. Tischner's sunflower seeds. Now it's growing tall in my garden and will give me new seeds to help me always remember kindergarten."

Easter 2010

You can tell from these pictures that the kids woke up pretty early to check out what the Easter Bunny had left for them. The weather wasn't cooperating this Easter, so the Easter Bunny left eggs throughout the house. I am a wimp and didn't brave the outdoor Easter egg hunts. The kids still had a great time and got lots of fun stuff.

Dixie 1st Birthday

Dixie turned 1 year old in March. Where did the time go? My baby girl is getting so big. She loved her birthday cake. She had no problem digging in and getting dirty.

I don't keep up with this blogging thing to well. I seem to always do better during the cold seasons. I guess it's because I spend more time indoors with nothing else to do. So, now that it is cold outside, I am going to play a little catch up...here goes.

Wow! It has been forever since I have posted anything new on our blog. I am sitting here on a cold, dreary Saturday, and I am remembering the cruise I went on last April. It was amazing. One of our stops was in Barbados, the beaches there were beautiful. I am really wishing I could go back to that beach and soak in the sun with my toes in the sand. I will post a few pics and maybe it will take me back...

St.George 2010

Every year around President's Day we go to St. George to get a glimpse of Spring. This year the weather ended up being worse than it was at home, but we still had fun. Of course we took the kids to hike the red rock and to the fun center. The rest of the time was spent swimming in the indoor pool. I don't think we could have had a better time, even if the weather was warmer. Uncle Brett, Aunt Megan, and their twins went with us. We had fun staying up late and playing games with them in the hotel as well.Image

Impossible to get all three of them looking at the camera at once.

Watch out! Riley's got quite the swing.

3 years old!

Troy turned 3! He is so excited to be a big boy. He always asks me, "Mom am I growing?" He has changed so much in just the last few months. He knows all of his letters, is potty trained, his favorite song is Pinks "So What I'm Still a Rock Star"(I know, not the most child appropriate song out there) and he is always singing anything. He is my little rockstar. He had a great birthday. He wanted a Thomas birthday. He loved his cake and all of his presents. He was so excited for his presents this year. I love him and I love being his mommy.

Cutie in her Crib

Image
ImageDixie is such a happy baby girl! She loves her crib and now she loves to stand in her crib! The little stinker refuses to learn how to crawl, she wants to go straight to walking but can't do that either. She wants to be held all of the time or holding on to my fingers and walking around, that gets old real fast. So sometimes I just let her stand in her crib while I try to get a few things done! She loves it, she thinks she is big stuff.

New Years Day Sledding 2010

It is family tradition to go sledding on New Years Day.
Image
This year Troy was big enough to go sledding all by himself. He had a blast!

Zoom! Troy racing down the hill.

Troy is so dang cute!

Riley is always too busy having fun to take the time to give Mom a hug and pose for a picture.

Christmas 2009

Image
We went to Temple Square. It was so freezing cold! The kids loved seeing the lights around the temple. I swear kids don't feel the cold like I do.
Image
Dixie's first Christmas. She loved getting presents, but you know how it goes at this age. She loved the paper more than the toy that was inside. It was fun to have a girl this Christmas getting dolls and all of that fun stuff.
Image
Riley loves Transformers. That's all he wanted for Christmas this year. He was so fun this year. It was fun to read his letters to Santa. He is quite the little writer.
Image
Troy loved Christmas! He was so excited for every present that he opened. He really started to understand the Santa Clause thing and everything was so magical.

We had a Very Merry Christmas this year!

Halloween 2009

Here are some Halloween pics. Riley was Optimus Prime, Troy was Bumble Bee, and Dixie was a ladybug. Riley was going to be Bumble Bee and Troy Spiderman but we had a few last minute changes. We had a lot of fun at our wards trunk or treat, and then going to see grandparents. It is amazing at how fast the years go by! It always seems like Halloween comes and goes in the blink of an eye.

I am not very good at keeping up with this. It is now February and I am just putting on pics of carving our pumpkins! We had a good time this year! Riley and Troy were both old enough to help dig the guts out, I hate that part. Instead of putting all of the pumpkins out on the porch, we had to put two small ones on the boys drawers. They loved them and wanted them close by. Luckily that only lasted a couple days and we were able to put them out. Dixie loved the pumpkins until she took the lid off and started munching on pumpkin guts. She wasn't too sure about it then. Kids sure do make Halloween lots of fun! (and a little more work:))
