Ugh, work is driving me crazy today. The main application for tracking everything is broken (ONCE AGAIN), and I am just over trying to work around it. I should really make it a point to check in more around these parts. How the hell has everyone been? :)

I won an iPad Mini from CyberCoders, and traded it in today for an iPhone 5! So psyched to have multiple conference calls and much better apps--not to mention the awesome front cam (see example above).

Happy Thanksgiving, all!!!!

As happy accident would have it, my brother only booked me in the apartment until today, so I needed to go get a new hotel room. And a new hotel room I got! I looove my new room; the shower is HUGE, the bed is fluffy and comfy, and so are the pillows. The room itself is pretty massive, too. I am also in a great neighborhood, right by Victoria Harbour. It also has much faster Internet, so I was able to upload the Festival of Lights video. I am about to head back out to take the train up to Victoria Peak, and I will be filming that as well, so stay tuned! :-)

So that he stays fat enough to make people have to go around him on the sidewalk... and into his human's store :-)

Also, Scott took a super cute picture of Cleo and Psy looking annoyed with him

I started noticing yesterday that there is a recurrent theme of resident kitties hanging about some of the local businesses in the neighborhood where I am staying (much to my delight--as it is really the little things on this trip that are helping me to maintain my sanity; obviously, there is not much time or motivation for sightseeing and normal touristy stuff like that). Thus, I thought that it would be fun to begin taking a picture of each one that I come across, then see how many I end up with by the time I leave. Stay tuned! :-)

This kitteh likes to greet customers face to face from the counter :-)

This kitty likes to beckon those from the street to come closer for a pet and perhaps a visit to his human's store :-)

That skyline seriously does put NYC's to shame... I took an awesome video of the Festival of Lights, but I will have to wait to post it after I get back as it is too much for my poor little Internet connection here to handle :-)

10 07 12 - Update [family, sad, scotty, travel]

Just wanted to give an update that I am currently in Hong Kong and will be here until next Monday. My dad is very ill out here, so I got a ticket about 24 hours ahead of time and came out Wednesday night. He was in ICU, but during the time it took me to fly out he was transferred and at least can somewhat communicate now. I am thinking that I will have him flown out to the States, but I need to speak with a doctor to make sure that it won't be an issue.

Hong Kong is a trip, haha. I miss the comfort of home, though, and especially Scott :-( I will be glad to get back to Boston. I miss my dog and my kittehs, too. Scott brought his sister's best friend, Ally, to pick up Pixie on Friday :-( I know that Cedric is probably really sad, but he is also happy to have Gia, and she balances out the house better. My friend Leslie is keeping Gia while I am gone, and Scott is checking in on the kittehs every couple of days. It is cute how much he loves the cats. Ugh, he is adorable. We must have spent about 8 hours on Skype between 3 AM last night (I woke up in the middle of the night and we video talked until about 6:30AM--which is the opposite on the east coast, of course) and 2:30 PM today (we got back on Skype at 11AM my time, and PM his time, lol).

It made me feel a lot better, though, as being out here alone in this big and extremely foreign city with my dad in the shape that he is in is really emotionally and physically draining. As it is, it is only 9:53 and I am exhausted. I am finding it very difficult to muster up any motivation to get out into the city and explore beyond a few walks to different places around my apartment or the hospital. Perhaps tomorrow....

She really is gonna need a jacket, as chihuahuas cannot tolerate cold very well, because they adapted in Mexico, among the warmest of warm climates... But because they are so small, their body temperature even has a hard time regulating in severe warmth as well. Poor babies :-( Good thing that there are lots of cute clothes to put on her! Once she is full grown and I know her measurements, I am gonna do some serious shopping. Here are the items on the list thus far (yes, ridiculous, I know, but such fun, too!):

Oh, and this is the Halloween costume I am getting her. I am in the process of convincing Heidi to have a doggie costume contest for CyberCoders on Halloween. It is looking like it could very well happen--Yay! (Luckily Heidi may be even more of an animal lover than I am, haha) :-)
