2 Months!

Time is flying!  Today Preston turned 2 months.  I never thought I would say that I don't want my baby to grow up, but since he is my last and such a good baby, I want him to stay little forever.  I get precious smiles and even a few giggles out of him.  He still won't take a pacifier, but is happy to sit and watch everything going on.  Micah and Brooklyn love him and are always wanting to hug and hold him.  Chad and I are tired, but adore this boy.  I'm so glad we had a whoopsie!  He is wearing 3-6 months clothes already and I don't think that will last much longer.  He is going to be one big boy!

This Week

Image
I have reintroduced myself to Instagram.  I love it because I can play with pictures of my funny bunch.
Image
 So sweet
Image
OK, so I'm not always happy.
Image
These are my crazies.  They drive me crazy, but I'm crazy about them.
Image
I think they are crazy too!

 So serious
Image
 So silly

I know this is a terrible picture of me, but I never have pictures with me and the kids.  I thought I would throw that one in for the records.

Babies are Blessings

On January 6th, Preston was blessed.  We had him all dressed in white and comfy cozy.  We had family and friends from all over come to watch him be blessed.  Chad did a nice job.  Afterwards, we all gathered at my parents house for a luncheon and spent time playing and enjoying everyone's company.

I only got one photo of the "party" that by this time had left.  Here is Papa with his grandkids.

Ending 2012

After Christmas, things were still very busy because, let's be honest, I don't have this whole mother of three thing down.  I feel like I am barely treading water most of the time!

Image
Well, this cute boy started getting his first smiles.
Image
How can you not smile at this?
Image
 Oh, and he slept too.
Image
We had some family park time and took our new toy out to play with.  It is a baseball that you attach to a pole and you can hit it over and over again.
Image
 Preston was there of course.
Image
 Micah loved it.
Image
 Nice swing!

Brooklyn played on the playground

Daddy pushed her on the swings.

We also took a trip to the Spectrum because sometimes a Target run can be fun!  We were going to take the kids on the Big Wheel, but Micah decided he would rather buy popcorn than take the ride.  They told me that Preston (asleep in a carrier) had to ride in his own seat.  Um, no, I think I will stay on the ground.
Image
Micah shared some popcorn with me.  We had a great conversation:
Me:  Mmm, Micah, I like the dark ones the best.
Micah:  Mom, do you remember when you bought us Lucky Charms and you told us we couldn't eat it if we were only going to eat the marshmallows?
Me:  Yeah.
Micah:  Well, you can't eat my popcorn if you are only going to eat the dark pieces.
Me:  (Cracking up)  Oh Micah, you are funny!
Micah:  I'm serious.
I love that he is serious about his food.  You have to respect that!
Image
 Oh look at him grow.

His sister loves to hold him!

Have Yourself a Merry Little...

Christmas Eve was spent at Tawnya and Trevor's house.  We had a nice dinner and opened presents.
Image
The kids were so excited as usual!
Image
 Preston slept as usual.
Image
Cody put on a strange head piece, which is becoming usual.  I'm pretty sure last year he put on a unicorn hat.  Can't wait to see what next year brings!
Image
 Chad was there.  Hi Chad!
Image
Micah was too.  He has such a cute smile!
Image
Brooklyn is showing us her new and very loud princess wand.  We all went home ready for Santa to arrive.
Image
Sure enough, the fat man came.  Micah was shocked that Brooklyn made it on the nice list.  Let's be honest, he must be pretty lenient!
Image
Brooklyn was thrilled to open gifts.
Image
Stockings were stuffed to the gills.
Image
Santa is a stickler of oral hygiene.
Image
I love getting a reaction like that to gifts!
Image
Brooklyn got a jewelry box with a dancing ballerina.  She called it her ballet dance party.
Image
What a mess!  Can you spot the baby?
Image
After our morning at home, we went to my parent's house for brunch and more presents.
Image
Grandpa wanted to make sure that we spoke about the real meaning of Christmas and talked to the kids about the nativity.
Image
The little kids were excited to pass out gifts to everyone.
Image
It was a busy house as you can see.

Austin's smile was a good reflection of how we all felt.  It was a great holiday!
