this was a get hyped for work mix i made last week that ended up being a lot more emotional than i thought. i intend to write a whole post about it but need to save the playlist in order to make another less emotional disc for this week.

i probably need to do more listening to this couch "glass bros 1993-94" disc
and remember how much I (in general) loved all those Saccharine Trust records back in the day, but particularly "surviving you, always" more recently. Beyond that, further exploration into this "Ramblin' Boy" by John Williams (not that John Williams)

I am trying my ass off to find this song, which is know is relatively popular enough to have been in movie soundtrack(s), but all I have to go on is as follows:

It has that vaguely funky sound of all those bands like Blood, Sweat, and Tears or early Chicago where they were "rock" bands but had horn arrangements and such. It has a chorus or bridge or breakdown part where the lyrics are "feel right...got to got to feel right" and so on. I could be wrong about that? I don't know. This thing will haunt me til I find it, and I don't have much to go on even to ask the people around me who are good at this sort of thing.
