A european alliance focused on strengthening data protection protocols for guarantee the security and privacy of digital identity, promoting an ecosystem that fosters trust in the exchange of data.
TrustED project will provide citizens and volunteers with a secure and portable digital identity tool that allows them to collaborate with various organizations while maintaining the privacy and trust of all those involved.
With a consortium made up by Gradiant, Infocert SPA, Fraunhofer ISST, Fraunhofer AISEC, Tree Technology, CyberSocial Lab., Promptly Health, Sestek, Fundación Cibervoluntarios, Centro Hospitalar e Universitario de Coimbra and Fondazione Mondo Digitale as associated partner.
TrustED project aims to position itself as a referent in the research and development of digital identity technologies, contributing to the creation of a more secure environment for the exchange of confidential data and the formation of federated learning networks.
Gradiant is a Research and Technology Organization (RTO) focused on connectivity, intelligence and security technologies. The company bridges Life Sciences and AI companies (Data Clients) with a select network of Healthcare Organizations (Data Partners), enabling the generation of insights from high-utility datasets while ensuring the data remains in its original location. Algorithmic Security and Privacy
Alberto Pedrouzo Ulloa is a Postdoctoral researcher in Signal Theory and Communications at the School of Telecommunication Engineering of the University of Vigo, and a member of the GPSC research group and the atlanTTic research centre. His expertise focuses on secure information processing, with a solid background in applied cryptography, privacy and anonymity in communications, and secure federated learning, all of which are directly related to TrustED’s core challenges around data protection and trust.
Within the Advisory Board, Alberto advises on the design and validation of pilots that handle sensitive data, contributing to the assessment of the robustness of privacy-preserving solutions from a technical and cryptographic perspective. His recommendations enhance the reliability, scalability, and technical credibility of TrustED’s results.

Nacho Alamillo Domingo is a lawyer specialised in information technology law, digital identity and trust services, with more than twenty years of experience in PKI, electronic signatures and the eIDAS regulatory framework. He holds a PhD in Law with a thesis focused on the eIDAS Regulation and combines deep legal expertise with advanced skills in cybersecurity and risk management.
