Necormunda - New Reptiles

The name of my Delaque gang is "The Reptiles". They are inspired by the the 1979 film "The Warriors", as the New York streetgangs in the film the members of the Reptiles wear a green trechcoat as a very distinctive gang uniform.
I've planned the gang setup to cover as many gaming options as possible using only the original Delaque miniatures or conversions of them. So far I have in 2 Leaders, 2 Heavies, 11 Gangers and 3 Juves in various various stages of completion. I'm thinking of converting a lascannon Heavy into a Plasma gunner und I'd quite like a Heavy Bolter but I'm not yet sure which parts to use. Also on my wishlist is the 4th juve, which I haven't managed to get hold of yet. He's the one with a knife in the right hand.
Here's the actual status of gang  in the campaign after nine games:

Today I have pictures of the 2nd leader (Chainsword and Plasmagun), a Flamer Heavy and two additional gangers. They still need to be varnisehd and based.

On the stereo

I like to listen to audiobooks whilst painting and have just started "First Blood" by David Morrell. That's the novel the classic Rambo film is based on. It's narrated by Eric G. Dove who does a great job on the book. The takes much more time to develop the characters than the film can but still it has lots of action. Very much recommended.

Necromunda Update

With easter holidays over we managed to play out a few more games of Necromunda and the Reptiles advance slowly but nicely. The last game saw the death of one of their important gangers but the medic has to get to action yet so there's still hope...

There's also some support in the shape of hired guns on the workbench.
First a Bounty Hunter:

Happy Easter!

The short easter holidays keep me busy so no news until next week.
Also waiting for the postman as I've managed to get a dozen very old RT Terminator miniatures from ebay to add to the Space Hulk collection.

New Fights

The Reptiles had two fights today, their adversary was a Cawdor gang named Manus Imperatoris.
Usually we play with the regular Necromunda layout from the box but this time we went for a ruined cityscape table using my old Armorcast terrain.

First game was a shoot out, won by the three participating Reptiles, even though they lost their nerve. The second game was a classic gang fight. After some good tactical movement by the Reptiles, Viper, the Reptiles most experienced ganger, lost his nerve when a Kid went down in front of him and the nice battleplan broke down. The Reptiles leader decided to leave it at that and bottled out, making this their first lost game after six consecutive wins.

Here are two more gangers, the left one is a pretty complex conversion of "Delaque with Lasgun 1". I removed both arms of the original miniature using a saw and resculpted the front of the torso and the new arms using Greenstuff. I'm rather happy with the result. He's not part of the gang yet but if I get another Gunfighter with BS4 I'll most likely use him. The one on the right is "Skink", also known as "The Killer Kid". He started as a Kid and now has 57 experience points after seven games. He's responsible for a good number of Cawdor casualties.
More on the gang and it's background in a day or two.

New Blog, Salute and Necromunda

Here's a new blog, as Mr Red requested it. It's all still pretty basic but I'll eventually add the fancy layout and other stuff piece by piece. The blog will feature stuff related to the hobby, painting, gaming collecting and so on. Hope you like some of it.

I had to take a break from Salute this year and especially missed the after show drink with the guys, maybe some of you will read this. Hope you had a good time!

Here's a picture of a WIP Necromunda Delaque gang, "The Reptiles". They are not yet complete. I'll change the bases to a more subtle tone later so they go better with the table surface. First are the gangboss (Die Natter), the heavy (Anaconda) and a shotgun ganger.

There are also a few heavier converted models, a boltgun ganger and one with two close combat weapons.
