If you were formally courting someone, what gift would you give them?:
Courting?
You think I have time to court someone, while I'm working on my military career? It took me almost a decade to reach the rank of Lieutenant Commander, and you want to ask me about courting. It's ridiculous.
But, supposing I had the time to indulge in such acts of frivolity, I'd still have trouble giving this question a simple, direct answer. A gift should be tailored to the receiver and their interests. Grand Admiral Thrawn, for example, has a keen interest in the arts. I commissioned a woven blanket for him with his personal sigil, a chimaera, for his last promotion. But that had nothing to do with courting, of course.
