Sorry that it's taken so long for me to update the blog. I'll recap on the last two months. Sorry that this is soo long.
My dad died in the early morning of Sept. 18th this year. He was 62, so it came as a shock. Tyrell and I got tickets that day and flew out on the 19th. Yep, we took all 4 kids with us and stayed in NY for a little over a week. My dad and I weren't really close, but I loved him for the man he had become in my eyes, these last few years. It was great to see my brothers and sister (my half sister Niki was there also). It had been over 3 years since I last saw most of my family. It was an interesting trip and Tyrell said he would like to move in that direction (because of all the green!) The kids were FANTASTIC! I don't remember any screaming or fits on any of the 5 planes we were on! What a bunch of troopers. The kids fell in love with their aunts and uncles in all shapes and forms (I have alot of step-siblings, fiance's, girlfriends, half-sibling in the fam) They were sad to come home. On the last plane, we got into SLC at 11pm and Noah screamed after we got off that he wanted to get on another one.

The day after the funeral, Noah, decided to drink ALL of Laurens seizure medicine. So Tyrell and I rushed him to a small hospital near my moms home. By that point he had become lathargic, and then we had to make him drink over a cup of charcoal....that was disgusting....we would get some down and then he would throw it up (which is a good thing to get the meds out) Then after they tried 3 times to get an IV in, they sent us in an ambulence to Rochester, NY (a hospital similar to primary childrens) It was too bad he slept the whole drive b/c he would have loved to see the ambulence. At the hospital in Rochester they rushed us put to the PICU and got him hooked up to a ton of monitors. By the way, the times that Noah was awake all he wanted was his Daddy. For the first few hours we were there he would stop breathing and we would have to wake him up over and over. Needless to say after sleeping the rest of the night he was back to himself in the morning, only now knowing "don't drink LOLO's medicine!) A lesson I hope he will always remember. The total bill for this adventure was somewhere in the $9,000 catagory (bless UPS and their insurance because we didnt pay a dime!)

We then had a few birthdays to celebrate. Lauren had turned 2 on the 17th of Sept. Noah turned 3 on the 30th of Sept., and Tyrell turned 28 on the 19th of Oct. Im really all caked out! But the kids had a great time (they had a party at home, a party with grandma/pa Gilmore in NY, and another party with my siblings and step-mom in a different house in NY)
On October 8th we had found out that we were going to get another little boy! I have to admitt I was hoping for a girl - mostly because I miss baby dresses and my little girls are so laid back and easy. We will go in for a second ultrasound on Nov. 19th to make sure there is no cleft lip/palate but other than that we are doing good and the baby is very active.
We were starting to get back into the swing of things at home and then realized that Halloween was coming up. Anyone who has kids knows that the kids ask to wear their costumes almost every day! Needless to say, the day finally came and they had a blast. Noah made off the best at the trunk or treat - he dressed as a fireman (the only one at the party) and so the city firefighters loaded up his bag with candy. Now the kids are asking when we are going to Grandma Maughans for Thanksgiving.

One of the best things to happen recently was that Tyrell and I found and bought a piano!!! I have always wanted to learn, and now I get to! Although I have to say that so far, my mind and hands are preferring the Flute (that maybe because I have played flute since 4th grade!) The kids have been playing it constantly and Emma will start learning after I get better at it.

So many things have happened that have strengthened me and blessed my life. I am so grateful for the family I have, whether it is in New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, and especially Idaho. We love all our friends out there, that are spread throughout the country now! Thanks for the support after the passing of my father!
