Does love lurk in dark shadows?

Whitley Strieber's Abduction Experiences

- A Christian Perspective -

Does love lurk in dark shadows or use fear to impart understanding?

Does one overcome fear by controlling it through denial or confrontation, or does perfect love cast out fear?

Is it revealing that your "visitors" become angry at times?

Is anger ever justified if there is understanding?

What do they intend?

Do they have thoughts of God; of healing pain; of teaching peace?

Would a race of beings with an ultimate technology embrace a dark philosophy?

Is hope of a more perfect body kept in comfort what attracts us to their technology?

Are we body or spirit?

Does their apparent interest in genetic engineering attest their concern for form?

Are we both body and spirit, or does suffering come from keeping joined what are opposites and can never join?

Do the visitors want to keep us in form? To what end? What attracts us to them; is it their technology and the hope a dark philosophy isn't answer to our fears?

What part does choice play in the visitor phenomenon?

Does what we call upon come into our experience only because we made the call? If what you called upon threatens you, isn't it a dark lesson?

If it teaches only love, would a dark lesson rise up to frighten you? Or is what we mistake for darkness really light?

If you refused to give your mind to them, which may be the prize they seek, would they attack your body or the body of a loved one to persuade you?

If you answer "yes," isn't it your mind you must refuse to give to them, and what you alone must retain and rule even in the face of bodily harm?

If "no," then you're still left with the visitors' intrusive and coercive behavior as probable testimony to some nefarious purpose.

You must ask if love hides its purpose in dark shadows from one seeking it.

What do you seek? What do you call upon? What attracts them to you?

Is it your mind they want or the genetic material in your body?

What plans do they hold for us, and why would you search for reasons to trust them if they won't tell you?

How do you explain the marked contrast between Andreason's visitors and yours? Is answer found in the Biblical reference to the "Watchers," who are divided into two camps; one serving good and the other evil, and who've been influencing Man from the beginning?

Does the difference between your more occult manifestations and Betty's Christian/spiritual context reflect the Watchers' division into the Biblical "sons of darkness" and "sons of light"?

Is this a plausible explanation for the purpose of the visitor phenomenon?

Have you thought to "test the spirits" and invoke Jesus' name for your visitors?

Your experiences with Wicca surely attest to the powers of incantation and allegiance to unseen forces.

Doesn't Wicca celebrate form, especially in nature, while Jesus asks us to celebrate Unity of Spirit that form was made to hide?

Is it possible you gave invitation to your visitors years or ages ago?

Are your visitors only an example of the "lower force" mentioned by John Keel in his book, The Mothman Prophecies (page 168)?:

"There seems to be a rule that each cosmic
force has its imitators. Victims of UFO
contact are often suffering from false
illumination. Either their minds have
misinterpreted the experience, or a lower
force has reprogrammed them using the same
mechanism. In a sense, they have become
possessed.' They suffer from halucinosis
-- repeated hallucinations. Their lives
are manipulated disastrously. Once a
person has undergone false illumination he
becomes vulnerable to repetitions, just as
once a person has been hypnotized he can
be easily hypnotized again.

"The phenomenon is dependent on belief, and
as more and more people believe in flying
saucers from other planets, the lower
force can manipulate more people through
false illumination. I have been watching,
with great consternation, the worldwide
spread of the UFO belief and its accompan-
ying disease. If it continues unchecked
we may face a time when universal accep-
tance of the fictitious space people will
lead us to modern faith in extraterres-
trials that will enable them to interfere
overtly in our affairs, just as the
ancient gods dwelling on mountaintops
directly ruled large segments of the pop-
ulation in the Orient, Greece, Rome,
Africa, and South America.

"However they arrived at their 1953 deci-
sion, the CIA/air force plan to debunk,
downgrade, and ridicule flying saucers
was, in retrospect, the most responsible
course the government could take. But
they underestimated the scope of the
phenomenon and its ability to manipulate
humans and generate propaganda."

Could your visitors represent an unseen, lower force?

Have you rejected the possibility that there may be spiritual forces involved with the affairs of humans that would keep Man from looking within, by offering distraction and confusion without?

Is the core of Christian beliefs in the supernatural too incredible to accept?

Your own out-of-body experiences, along with records from Robert Monroe, George Ritchie, and others, suggest influences that hard science can't, as yet, discover.

Is to call upon Jesus an exercise in flim-flam or a summons to the Mind of God and the Power His creating your mind gave to you?

Does all power in Heaven and earth rest within you?

Isn't your ego, that petty belief in form over content, the problem benevolent visitors would be concerned with?

Do the visitors, too, have minds given to them by the Creator of the Universe of universes?

Does how they use mind give answer to their intention?

Would they teach that you are a body or have you learn you are
spirit?

What they teach you they must believe themselves to be. Your mind teaches what it believes it is, and is trapped in a seeming endless cycle of dreams or gloriously made free by the choice you make.

The visitors choose, as well. But it is only your choice that you need be concerned with--and they will leave you or join you, accordingly.

Try this--join with your loved ones in a circle with hands held, then invoke Jesus' name as "controller of what doesn't matter and guide in what does."

You needn't believe anything of him except that he is brother to you and one who has "escaped." Quoting Gurdjieff: "No one can escape from prison without the help of those who have escaped before. Only they can say in what way escape is possible or can send tools, files, or whatever may be necessary."

The Holy Spirit is such a "tool" sent by Jesus for us. Ask the Holy Spirit, in Jesus' name, to help you with all conditions causing your fear.

Greet Jesus' perfect love and ask the visitors to join with you in
that celebration. And they will leave or join with you by the choice they made long ago.

It's just an incantation, but one with symbols for true power not
magic.

The hardest lesson to learn is that truth is true. This means that whatever you think, do, or say has no affect on what IS.

To one embarked on making his own "reality" this is terrifying; to one resting in that knowledge is freedom found.
