UML Code Generation Rules
Hi, Does anyone know any UML tool that allows us to modify code generation rules inside, in order to generate the codes in a language I want? |

Enterprise Architect [UML tool]
A CASE tool which a friend of mine uses. Very, very nice. http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/I just download a 30 day trial, and I am impressed and pleased so far. I can't compare it to others as I haven't used many, but the interface is nice and clean and it seems relatively straightforward (in as much as UML is). I've only played with entity diagrams so far. Have fun! |

uml diagram for mah school paper
I'm coding a publishing system (within the cocoon2 framework) for my school paper, and I started to do a bit of modeling. Here's what I've got so far, made with magicdraw. It's been a while since i've done any modeling (I've been out of the industry for about a year) so I'm a little rusty. I'd appreciate any comments y'all have. ( Read more...Collapse ) |

Welcome
Welcome to umltalk. It is my hope that this become a vibrant and active community of software developers, database modelers, and others interested in UML. I am relatively inexperienced with the technology myself. I found UML Distilled to be an excellent beginners resource. Any books others can recommend? In the area of CASE tools, I found Together to be a decent tool. I started using it simply because the version of Visio I had sucked for doing UML (I didn't use any of the real CASE stuff -- I just used it for making the models). The new visio for XP seems to be much better, however. What's your favorite UML tool? |
