I’m James Kinsley, a writer based in Thorpe Hamlet, Norfolk, published by Deixis Press.
My new book, It’s Hard to Tell You This, is out now from Deixis Press.
It’s Hard to Tell You This is a novella of regret, as Michael is prompted by his father’s death to face the mistakes he has made in his own life and relationships. It is my fourth book, and my third from Deixis Press after the fantasy Western Greyskin and the sci-fi thriller Parallels.
My debut novella, Playtime’s Over, was published by Propolis in 2021.
You can find further details of all my books, and links to purchasing them, on my Books page.
I also self-publish science fiction under the name Ray Adams. To date there have been five Ray Adams books published.
Outside of this, I have interests in books, classical music, film and the environment. I collect postcards, sci-fi paperbacks from the 50s/60s/70s, comics and Lego. I’m a paid-up member of the Green Party, which you can join here, and a practising Christian.
Making money from writing is hard and while it’s not why we do it, obviously if we can, it frees us up to do more. If you’ve enjoyed any of my output and wish to throw a tip my way, it all goes back to promoting my work.
