Christmas
Lets see, what did i get for christmas. I got a shirt from old navy from my aunt and uncle. I got some flanel pajama pants, a pair of boxer shorts, a shirt, a mets hat and a $50 gift card to EB Games from my parents. What else, hmmm...I got some money from my brothers and various relatives (about 85~$100 total). Maureen gave me LOTR: The Two Towers. And ummm...i think thats about it...Maybe i will use the money i got and the gift card and some other money i have and get an xbox...hmmm, do i have enough money? Gotta check on that. Thats about it though. Merry Christmas.

So tuesday was fun...
Company christmas party + open bar + no carding = :O)

My department was the ast to arrive at the party, we got there around 5:30, which was 30 minutes after it started. Wasted no time in catching up though. Lets see:

As soon as we get there, my boss Frank orders a round of LI iced teas...started getting a buzz right afterwards...

Next up a round of tequila shots...

Have another 2 rounds of tequila with Igor, a coworker...

We meet up with tech guys from other branches, 4 rounds of So. comort and lime, yummy...Some of the guys in my department start to leave in between...its about 7-7:30...

One of the branch guys orders some kind of vodka/sprite drink (at least i think that was what it was, but i didnt like it...)

Igor and i leave, its abot 8:30, (he had the key to the office, and was my last chance of getting my stuff so i left since he was leaving...)

O yeah, lots of food in between all that. The train ride home killed me, motion sickness, but i was ok. I was t my limit, and had i stayed later with leon and some other people, i would not have gotten out of bed today. He was messed up for the whole day today, he actually managed to come in to work. Good thing it was ony a half a day.

So that was tueday. Today was ok. Working sucked, got out at noon, won a 5 lb bag of jolly ranchers at work as i was leaving. Spent christmas eve dinner at my aunt and uncle's in jersey. My cousins Sherry and Mike and their baby Jason were there. Had a good time, food was delicious (pierogi = ORGASM, LOL, they tasted that good). Came home and here i am. Merry christmas everyone.

Time to take a break...ive been working on my project for school for a while. I've got to make a chat room/IM type of thingy. so far ive got a text box where you can type things in, a send button, and a text box which displays what was sent, and who sent it (in different color too, ooooh, aaahhh, wow). Now ive got to get it to transmit over a network and receive from a network, i.e. make what is currently a text pad into an instant messenger. time to go find some sample programs to borrow code from...or is someone is in my group supposed to be doing that part, developing the server and connections...hmm, i wonder...

Yay for holiday season sales. Bought a firewire card from compusa for $40, with $20 back by mail. Not only is it a firewire card for $20, its an adaptec card, not some cheap crappy no name brand. On another note, bought some dvds and a cd (christmas presents for a few people). Any Given Sunday, X-Men 2, and the Beatles - Let It Be...Naked cd that was just released.

Stupid Apple Corp...i just received the ipod (5GB) i bought off of ebay. Very nice ipod...except for the fact that it wont play wma files (which i knew ahead of time). Why cant they just support playing wma files on the ipod like everyone else in this world??? Stupid apple...have to convert all my files to mp3...someone hurry up and make a hack. the uClinux project looks promising, but i cant find any info from people who have tried it...off to google some more...

i just noticed you can search for communities again...yay...

Newegg.com has become my new fave website, mainly bc they have incredible sales and you can pay by money order. I just bought two WD 36.7 GB SATA Raptor hard drives for about $100 each!!! Considering every other place i look has them at $200 a drive, im happy. That and the fact that when i run them in a RAID configuration i will have blindingly fast load times, after all these are WD raptors. Think about it: two normal WD Caviar drives run in a raid can barely keep up with a single raptor, just imagine how fast a RAID of raptors will be...only drawback to the drives of course is the 36.7 GB capacity, rather small for the price. To fact that problem, im gonna run two average 60 GB drives, in a raid as well, for storage. Ive also convinced myself to buy am intel 865 based board rather than an 875 based one since they are much cheaper and have nearly the same performance, unless of course i can find a nice 875 on at a really good price...That plus a Radeon 9800pro and a P4EE at 3.2GHz will make me almost as happy as me having a ferrari. Almost, but not quite. How long it takes me to get the P4EE is to be seen considering they wont be out for another couple of weeks, and even then in scarce supply, and will cost about $1000 each if you buy 1000 of them, but maybe Newegg will have them for around $900 or less....i hope.

I am going to buy this. Hopefully...

Such a difficult week. Lugged a ton of stuff for someone around and back again all day monday. Started work tuesday. Work 8:30-5:30 every day. Had a class from 6-9 today after work. Soo tired. I need sleep. Im exhausted. Also feeling kinda down right now. Time for bed...

So...
Went shopping today, had to buy clothes for work, which i start on tuesday. Bought a bunch of shirts and a few pairs of pants. Ended up costing like $200, but hey it wasnt my money...thank god for parents lol. I also bought to pairs of SEXY jeans at old navy, for 10 bucks each!!! How awesome is that. On a sadder note however, my mom will be CONFISCATING HALF of my PAYCHECK to pay for TUITION!!! STUPID SCHOOL!!! Makes me sad, then i realize that with what i will be making, i will still have a truckload o' cash to burn...(devilish grin) MWAHAHA...

I've got it all planned out, roughly $150 for a new cell phone, about $450 for the next ATi Radeon graphics card based on the R420 core, $180 for a P4 2.6 GHz (400 MHz FSB), and $150 for an XBOX...am i forgetting anything? hrmm...

So i finished making a layout for my own website. Its a kick-ass Led Zepp page, gonna add Van Halen possibly later on too. Anyways, its nowhere near done yet, just a layout and a few links to some photos, but a cool layout it is. Maybe ill put it up on my school's server if i ever find out how...lol. Know to find some content to put on the page...hmmm...

Sweet...four Boston songs in a row...kinda sometimes makes up for when winamp randomly plays a bunch of stuff i dont wanna listen to...kinda....maybe...not quite, but hey, if a fifth Boston song in a row plays and its More Than A Feeling, all is forgiven. Got that Winamp?...lol. But that probs not gonna happen since Peace of Mind already played and it is the song immediately after More Than A Feeling...hmmm...

God i hate all these dumb lab reports, almost done though. Just have to talk some more about p-n junctions, and semiconductor processing. grr...

Must go finish work so i can study for my test tomorrow. O and Winamp you fail me...though i wont complain about Led Zepp (The Rain Song), and the Doors...granted that song doesnt bode well for my test tomorrow...to put it simply, this is the end, my only friend, the end...no safety or surprise, the end...

Was briefly in virgin yesterday. Checked out the clearance stuff for a minute. They had Boston's last album on clearance for like 6 bucks or something...pretty good deal to me.
