Experience the beauty and intimacy of Union Avenue Opera’s Spring House Concert Series, three unforgettable evenings of exceptional music by celebrated UAO artists in distinctive St. Louis homes. On March 12, step back in time to a 19th-century German salon with Brahms and the Schumanns, featuring mezzo-soprano Debra Hillabrand and members of the UAO orchestra in an evocative program of Romantic masterworks at the home of University City Mayor Terry Crow. April 9 brings an Italian Serenade filled with art song, opera favorites, and irresistible charm, as soprano Gina Galati joins Scott Schoonover for a celebration of Italy’s rich musical tradition in Jim and Mary Forsyth’s 1911 Tuscan-style home. The series concludes May 14 with a spirited Quartet Showcase, uniting four familiar UAO artists for an evening of arias, duets, musical theatre, and beloved ensemble favorites in the artistically rich salon of Marjorie Smith.
