Find your next job without the hassle – even if you’re looking for an international role

Features

Sometimes, the act of trying to find a job can feel like a job itself. It shouldn’t! And it won’t, especially if you use the Career.io job search tool. Here you’ll find uncluttered listings that provide distraction-free experience that puts you in control.

Gone are the days of scrolling through endless listings. Our smart search platform gives you a personalized approach to help you discover roles that actually fit your experiences, skills, and goals. It all starts with a simple question, “Which role are you going for?” After all, our goal is to help you find the right job – that begins with the first step.

Simply type in a job title – like Content Writer, Marketing Manager, or Software Engineer – and we’ll suggest related roles to help refine your search. Once you select the positions you’re interested in, you’ll move on to the location screen, where you can target specific cities, states, or even remote work opportunities. Whether you're looking in New York, Paris (France or Texas!), or anywhere in between, we’ve got you covered.

Next, upload your resume (or create one on the spot), review your profile, and let our system match you with jobs that fit your skills and experience. You can also manually search for jobs, set up alerts, save listings, and even install our Chrome extension for seamless job tracking.

YouTube: What skills to put on your resume (+ examples)

Features

Let’s join Amanda Augustine, TopResume’s career guru, once again to learn about the four types of skills to include on your resume: hard skills, soft skills, transferable skills, and adaptable skills. In this video, you’ll learn that it’s important to use specific keywords from job descriptions to increase visibility with the Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

Hard skills, like software expertise, should be listed prominently. It’s crucial to remember to add those soft skills, too, including problem-solving and communication. When you change careers, you can highlight transferable skills and adaptive skills to show resilience.

For additional support, Amanda recommends getting a free resume review to help optimize your resume and those all-important skills sections.

Blog: The Human Touch is Still Critical

Blogs

Have you jumped on the AI train to write your resume? Chances are, it didn’t work out exactly like you expected. It’s no secret that more and more resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles are being written by AI tools like ChatGPT.

ChatGPT can be a great resource for jumpstarting the resume-writing process, but it should only be used for what it is – a tool, not an end-all-be-all. The fact is AI writing tools often fall short of telling your story in a way that resonates with human hiring managers. Sure, it can help you suss out keywords from a job description, but ChatGPT can’t grasp how the things you’ve done in your career impacted previous employers. ChatGPT and other AI tools also lack creativity and emotional intelligence. These are critical for genuinely connecting your past achievements to the needs of a prospective employer. Remember, AI is a good assistant, but it’s not a storyteller – you still need a human touch on your career marketing documents.

After all, your career story is far too important to leave entirely in the hands of a bot.
