Boston, MA – 9 December 2025. Today, the first books chosen by the De Gruyter eBound Foundation to receive Open Access grants through its Climate Action funding initiative were released on UPLOpen. Altogether, grants totaling nearly USD 100,000 will make it possible for 13 books to appear in the UPLOpen Climate Action Collection during 2025 and 2026.

Open Access for a Sustainable Planet

Established by the De Gruyter eBound Foundation, the Fund supports the publication of scholarly monographs on one of the most urgent challenges of our time. Grants totaling nearly USD 100,000 have been awarded that will enable the publication of 13 books in Open Access editions over the course of 2025 and 2026.
