《Urchamber原型腔》是一个关注女性主义思想与当代艺术表达的独立zine项目，围绕荣格“原型”理论与“腔体”隐喻展开——我们视“腔”为一种可产生回响的感知之所：柔韧而中空，开放而能寓。它既是一间安放声音、对抗喧嚣的房间，也是一条与外在场域相连的通路。
“Ur”既是德语中意为“原初”（Urbild / Ursprung）的前缀，亦是英语中“your”的亲密唤语。“Urchamber”召唤每一个女性回到你的起点与空间获取力量。我们也以此回应伍尔芙所提出的“一间自己的房间”的女性表达诉求。同时呼应“圆形枪”这一刊名的谐音意象：兼具温柔与穿透、圆润与力度。
《Urchamber 原型腔》置身于全球语境中，聆听社会现实与个体思想之间的回响，并致力于激发更多关于东亚经验的多元回响。本刊以月为单位设定主题，每季度构成一个具有内在关联的系列。围绕每月主题，我们将整合当下国内外与女性主义相关的艺术动态、观点与实践：包括艺术新闻回顾、评论、访谈、理论文本翻译与原创写作，涵盖视觉、身体、剧场与声音等媒介。
我们致力于构建一个多层次的“腔体”空间——兼具感性经验与批判理论的表达场域。既有个体经验的回响，也有理论视野的穿透，让多元思想与表达在此共振：既柔软，又有力；既开放，也具有边界感。
《Urchamber原型腔》不是关于“身份”的限定空间，而是一种激发回声的感知方式：是枪的爆破，也是腔的脉动。

Urchamber 原型腔 (Yuan Xing Qiang) is an independent zine program dedicated to feminist thought and contemporary artistic expression. Initiated by two Chinese women based in Paris and Beijing, the publication draws upon Carl Gustave Jung’s theory of archetypes (yuan xing) and the metaphor of the “chamber” (qiang) — a perceptive space that is conceived to be capable of echoing the world: adaptive and capacious, inviting and inclusive. The chamber is not only a place sheltering voices against noise, but also a passage connecting the internal to the external.
Ur is both the prefix meaning “primordial” in German (as in Urbild / Ursprung) and the intimate address of your in English. Echoing women’s need for expression brought out by Virginia Woolf, Urchamber invites every woman to return to her point of origin — a room of her own — and reclaim her power. Yuan Xing Qiang, in Chinese, also embodies the image of a round gun, tenderly incisive and potently enveloping.
Set within a global context, Urchamber listens to the echoes between social reality and individual thoughts. The project seeks to boost vibrant and diverse resonance rooted in East Asia experience. Each issue is themed monthly, and together they form an interwoven series each quarter. Each month, we curate contemporary feminism-oriented artistic content from China and around the world, including art news, reviews, interviews, original writing to translated theoretical texts around a specific theme, spanning media such as visual art, body, theatre, and sound.
We are committed to constructing a multilayered “chamber” — an expressive field where sensual experience and critical thought converge. Here, personal experience meets theoretical insights, where diverse thoughts and voices resonate in a way that is gentle yet powerful, open yet bounded.
Urchamber is not a space that defines “identity”, but a mode of perception that echoes the world — both the blast of a gun and the pulse of a chamber, where destruction and resonance entwine to provoke further thoughts.
Urchamber 原型腔 (Yuan Xing Qiang) est un zine indépendant engagé dans la pensée féministe et l’expression artistique contemporaine. Initié par deux femmes chinoises en art et culture, basées à Paris et Pékin, le projet développe une réflexion nourrie par la théorie des archétypes (yuan xing) de Carl Gustave Jung et une métaphore construite sur le double sens de chamber (qiang) en anglais – que l’on conçoit comme un espace de perception capable de produire de la résonance : adaptable et ample, accueillant et inclusif. Elle est aussi bien une chambre qui abrite les voix et résiste au vacarme, qu’un passage relié à des espaces extérieurs.
« Ur » est à la fois un préfixe signifiant « primordial » (comme dans Urbild / Ursprung en allemand), et une manière intime de dire « your » en anglais. En écho au besoin d’expression féminine proposé par Virginia Woolf, Urchamber invite chaque femme à revenir à son point d’origine — sa propre chambre — pour y reconquérir sa force. En chinois, Yuan Xing Qiang évoque aussi l’image d’un « pistolet rond », à la fois tendre et incisif, enveloppant et puissant.
Urchamber s’inscrit dans un contexte mondial, à l’écoute des échos entre réalités sociales et pensées individuelles. Le zine s’attache à susciter davantage des résonances diverses autour de l’expérience est-asiatique. Chaque mois un thème est partagé ; chaque trimestre forme une série cohérente, articulée autour de liens internes. À partir des sujets mensuels, nous rassemblons actualités, points de vue et pratiques relatives au féminisme en Chine comme à l’étranger. Notre contenu inclut des revues de presse artistiques, des critiques, des entretiens, des traductions de textes théoriques et des créations originales, à travers des médias variés : arts visuels, corps, théâtre, son, etc.
Nous nous consacrons à créer un « espace-cavité » à plusieurs strates – un lieu d’expression où se rencontrent des expériences sensibles et des critiques théoriques. Par la résonance d’expériences individuelles et la lucidité de théories, faisons vibrer la diversité des idées et des formes d’expression : soyons douces et puissantes, ouvertes mais conscientes de nos limites.
Urchamber n’est pas un espace qui définit une « identité », mais un mode de perception en résonance avec le monde — à la fois la déflagration d’un coup de feu et le pouls d’une chambre, où destruction et résonance s’enlacent pour susciter d’autres pensées.
