A HAT AND WIG PARTY.
I'm sorry what was that?
Yes, a hat and wig party! Cool cat Kathy celebrated her birthday this weekend where we all came in donning our preferred (or available) hair / head accessory. Just to summarize the fun and fantastic:
Our star of the night, Kathy had long curly brown locks. Very diva-esque. J.Lo? No - better. Rosalinda. G@gah! ;p Seriously, along with fab bling and lovely girly ensemble - she simply was a supahstah. (Happy birthday doll!)
Boom was in light floral dress and had gone from curly sue to goldilocks. Yes, she was blonde. Straight blonde. Very stepford wife minus the creepy robot eek! And from photos she was also methinks once again channeling the inner cheerleader.
Jay was our wee tinkerbell with her golden star-ishtudded wreath. Reminiscent of first holy communion head gear, Jay was such a good girl that she'd walked out of the cluster still wearing the precious diadem. Hayluvet! Kidney, kidney. It was really cute and could have nicked it if only Jay didn't need her "halo".
Bang shot out from a scene of Chicago that evening. But if she starts with the song and dance - very Debbie Gibson (Electric Dreams? ;p) In purple flapper dress, full-on pearl layers and felt MJ hat, she was a breath away from singing 'He had it coming....he had it coming...'
Nog was our beach babe in her summer halter dress and straw hat. Yes, she has taken the plunge (Brava girl! Am very proud chikka. Must share the gifts of nature I say)! But our resident girly girl looked fab and could someday give me a run for m'money ;p
And lastly, I was (expectedly) in pink (dress), plunging (errr...) and puti (hat) ;p Thank you to Mr. Thomson I was a cowgirl that evening. McLeod's Daughters statue?
It was fun fun and yes, more fun.
Here's to the next one chikkas!
