to answer you questions

I am going to answer some questions from my comments….. I talked about the importance of CPA’s in our community. What they do, blah blah blah. It was kind of funny. The good thing was that my girls just went to “take your daughter to work day” and they had lots of fun stuff that they were able to share with the kids. And then I talked about being a “homemaker”. You know.. carpools, swimteam, soccer games, soccer practice, and making dinner. I had kids actually ask me question on this one
Do I like my job?
Am I a Maid?
Do I know how to cook? Good thing I made my famous cookies!!
I got that dress at Marshall’s. well, my friend who is pregnant got it for her and it didn’t fit (hooray). So I bought It off of her before she took it back. It looks even better when I have done my hair Target has those dresses on sale right now for $20.

Career Week

I got to teach “career week” today for Karly, Logan, and Olivia’s class today. Mike signed up to go into the kids class and teach them about his career (CPA) to the 5t , 3rd, and kindergarten classes. My kids were so excited and think it’s so cool when he comes in. Well he woke up sick (you never want to see him sick). I thought for sure he could pull himself together but at the last minute he asked me to go. I was laughing out loud! It was funny- I still can’t believe I did it- They were happy to see me but I know Mike would have done a much better job. I didn’t even have time to do my hair! oh well

Side note to this picture of Livy in her costume…. I got her all ready for pictures. She was giving me a hard time and I was trying so hard to make the make-up thing fun for her. When she was all done she stared in the mirror.

Mom: So? Don’t you look fabulous?

Livy: NO!!!! I look hideous! And she starts to cry…

Mom: Why do you think you look hideous?

Livy: Because I look just like you but I don’t have all those lines on my face.

Mom: OH! What could I say? She totally says what she wants and keeps me on my toes. I told her I like my “lines” and I earned them…… good thing I was having a high self esteem day or I might have been bugged. .lol I LOVE HER!!!

Olivia is also turning into such a great girl. She has her moments but I guess I needed one kid that does that. We still love her and she keeps me on my toes. She is doing great in kindergarten, trying to adjust that she is one of the youngest kids in her class and still praying that her teeth will start to fall out, she is excited for 1sts grade, doing great in soccer, runners club, dance, and being a great big sister to Jack. When she grows up she wants 2 kids (bc she says 4 looks to hard), she has her hubby and the colors of her wedding all picked out. We have so much fun with her!!

Oh my goodness this child is growing up so fast and turning into a beautiful young “tweenager”. Karly was picked to be one of the “5th grade ambassador” (along with a few other 5th graders). This means she got to go to middle school for the day and be pared up with a 6th grader. She was to take notes and report to the 5th grade on what to expect…..funny thing is- Karly is my “list maker”. She gave a 45 min speech on what to expect for middle school. She is so responsible and is a great example to her siblings. She is doing so great on the swim team, choir, runners club, activity days, and lots of babysitting for her mom and dad. When Karly grows up she wants to be a Veterinarian. She is working on her grades so she can get into BYU on a scholarship bc she wants her $ college savings handed to her for something else...like a house (she is our planner)

Update on Logan:
She is my “ok” girl. Every time I ask her to help me or do something for me she say’s “OK”- and it's done!!!
She is doing fabulous in school, soccer, runners club, and activity days and working this week to get into the “gifted program”, and making great choices. Her soccer tournaments are coming up and she is torn. The finals are on Sunday- she already told the coach that she has made a choice not to play on Sunday. The decision was so easy but it is killing her. She is a great soccer player and has scored most of the goals each game. We are super proud of her. When Logan grows up she is thinking about being a Pediatric surgeon or a Psychiatrist- Just as long as she gets to be called “doctor” and makes $10.00 an hour she will be happy. She wants to get a soccer scholarship- it will be fun to see how it all plays out

It's a all "Man" all week long for these guys

10:00pm the night before they head out for the “guys week” I go into a full on panic- like most moms would I am sure because Mike asked me if he knows his phone number just incase he gets lost. What if he gets lost? If a stranger asked him his name he would say “Sponge Bob”, and if someone asked him his phone number, he would say “#169”. So I did the first thing that any “logical” mother would do……… I just had to teach him that if he gets lost he needs to lift up his shirtImage

Labor of Love 1/2 marathon

I got to run a half marathon (I love running them so much) with my friend Casey. We showed up and the weather was by far the worst I have seen it in a very long time! It was the hardest run I have ever run because of the strong winds, steep hills, and being unperpared for the SNOW!!! Yes- SNOW! Still did good- I took 4th woman overall and 1st in my age group. My time hasn't come out yet but I think it's between 1:49- and 1:50.
This race required Mike to do a lot of running the kids around like a mad man getting kids to soccer games and activity days and getting them ready—and he still went to give blood- problem is that he took Jack- Jack is going to need therapy after that. I am so greatful that Mike is so supportive of me. It's never been easy on him and he is so sweet about it. Thanks BABE!

Swim meet

Karly had a swim meet last night and she is just doing so awesome- her time is improving so much and it's so fun to watch. Her coach pushes her so hard and she is in the water more than she is on land (it seems like it).

Take your daughters to work day!

Oh this must have been the best day of the year. My kids had so much fun at Deloitte with Mike again this year. They kept them super busy, fed them tons for junk food, got to go out for sushi with dad for lunch, worked and made $430 (that they had to donate to charity) doing a bake sale...that us moms did all the work but it was for a great cause! Boy- they now know what Mike really does at work everyday now. wink wink!

Easter Weekend

We had a fun Easter weekend. We ran into a "small" problem with our Easter egg hunt. They kids choose to ride bikes and forgo the hunt> I begged for 2 hours to do a hunt....guess they are just getting older. Karly did say she would do it if "we" (wink wink- she knows) put money in the eggs.

We had a 3 week Spring Break (we are in year round school). We got to do lots of fun things!

This was fun. You put a bone on it and it tells the kids all the facts of the animal and history- they loved this one!

We went on a 2 mile nature hike and Jack was so mad- notice him in the pictures. I promised him we would see some cool "nature life" at this nature museum- we walked for 2 miles and didn’t see one thing OH HE WAS SAD!

They made it to the top!
