Maunderings of a nomnivore

Dear whomever:

Let me make myself perfectly clear.

If you don't want an abortion, don't get one.

If you don't want a gay marriage, don't get one of those, either.

But for pity's sake, stop telling me that I have to live my life according to your religion. That Freedom of Religion thing that you're always on about? That includes Freedom of MY religion, too, and MY religion smiles kindly upon sacred unions between people who love each other, no matter the number or gender. MY religion does not judge somebody who chooses to have an abortion, but instead supports that person's right to choose for themselves the best path, and offers any help that may be needed.

You can't have it both ways, people - you can't yell about being oppressed while you are doing that exact thing to people whose religions happen to differ from yours. We don't all want to be Christians, we don't all need to be Christians, and we would all be very happy if you would just keep your judgmental, violent little religion to yourselves and stop trying to dictate how we all should live our lives.

People are risking their lives to get information out of Iran. The least we can do is to read it, and educate ourselves.

And step three actually seems to be working.

Unit functioning at minimal levels. (Abort, Retry, Cancel?)

Well, two actually - managed to snag two seed accounts for me and Trav. I'm actually pretty excited about this.

So, I imported everything over from LJ, except that my icons won't import correctly. And really, that was the only thing I really wanted to work :(

Ah, well, at some point I will make the time to sift through them and re-upload them over here.

So far, so good. The interface is fairly intuitive. I'll be happy when there are more styles to choose from, but the customisability is pretty good on at least one existing style. And, oh goddess, the editing toolbar is a happy-making thing when you're an html idiot like me. One of the reasons I hardly ever post pictures on LJ is that I have to either stop and look up how, or ask somebody every time. I really like that I can choose rich text or html, or, fuck, switch between them as the mood strikes. I could do without the red and pink, but eh - there's time for that :)

Now I just need all my friends over here, and I'll be a happy Valkyrie.
