Sep. 12th, 2010 12:37 amSlowly catching up on Merlin (season 2). I don't usually wear slash goggles while enjoying canon (I save them for fic, re-watchings etc.) but, wow, I'd quite forgotten how with Merlin you actually need to make a serious effort NOT to see slash. Really, you have to, like, look away and press the mute button. Rather impressive.
Question to the Merlin people, does Arthur learn about Merlin's powers anytime soon? Spoilers are fine, I feel like it's getting a bit tiresome and sorta ridiculous at this point :/

In other fandom-ish news I've caught up with the Naruto manga. Unlike Death Note, I didn't read this manga before watching the anime and the number of volumes made getting up to date seem like a long-winded affair. Stopped watching the anime during the filler-period and never got back to it... anyway, picked up the manga (aka. found it online) and caught up to the current release. Fuck me, it's brilliant. I've completely rediscovered my love for both story and characters, yay! I think I'll break out the DVD sets tonight. If there's something the anime manages wonderfully it's the soundtrack and the battle scenes. Some of that stuff is really beautifully executed.
