Watch This Now!
Anyone who uses an Active Content in Internet Explorer or develops WebOC needs to watch this.
Due to patent infringements, Microsoft has announced changes to IE that is scheduled for early next year. These changes will prompt the user to allow or disallow Active Content to run on a website, and it will stop proccessing the page untill the user accepts. And whats more is that it will prompt the user for every instance of AC on the website.Luckily there is a workaround! Mostly.
For those in question, Active Content is:
Flash
Quicktime
RealPlayer
Acrobat
ActiveX Controls
Windows Media Player

At the bottom is a pre-release version of the new Internet Explorer available for download. Luckily this copy will run side-by-side with your current install, not overwrite it. But you have to have XP SP1 in order to use it.
