Access Question
When introduced to Access, my office was given a somewhat brief lesson on the basics. At the end of the class, the teacher went therough the capabilities of the software. He mentioned the possibilty of importing an Excel spreadsheet into a table.
Now we need to do that.
I was just taught the basics, what I needed to know to do my job. David is our programer that designed our tables and queries and what not. My job is to enter our inventory into the database. Our inventory is housed in 2 seperate warehouses. I have finished the first, and now I am on to the second.
The second warehouse is slightly bigger than the first, which housed over 9,000 line items. There was already someone doing the inventory at the other location, and she started in Excel.
To make a long story short, is it possible to import an Excel spreadsheet and place it into a table on Access? I thought it was possible, but David says no. I will be more than willing to admit I'm wrong if I am, because it is entirly possible. The only thing is, this guy has a habbit of saying things are impossible when in reality, he doesn't know how to do them.
