Why do an action project?
- To empower students to be changemakers in their community
- Students apply learning to real-life scenarios
- Students learn to be engaged citizens
- Students connect with mentors, neighbors and organizations in their communities
- Students learn and practice skills that prepare them for careers and public life
VEEP/NHEEP works directly with youth and student-teacher teams, helping them develop leadership skills and take action through energy and climate projects that help lower energy use and raise awareness about energy and climate issues. High school students, get involved through Youth Climate Leaders Academy.
