When the Park Fire swept through Cohasset, Butte County, in 2024, the Morris family lost everything: their home, their belongings, and the chance to stay together. Through every step of the long road to recovery, Tzu Chi’s Long-Term Disaster Recovery Team from the Tzu Chi Chico Service Center has stood by the Morris family, offering compassionate support as they work toward rebuilding their lives and reuniting as a family.

After powerful winter storms devastated Southern California during the Christmas holiday, Tzu Chi volunteers stepped in to support families displaced by severe flooding, mudslides, and road damage. On January 9–10, 2026, Tzu Chi volunteers served at the San Bernardino County Local Assistance Center in Hesperia, providing cash cards, eco-blankets, and compassionate care to disaster survivors.
