Went to training part 1 today. It was repetitive, insulting, and annoying- and the best training I've ever gone to., Which really says a lot.
A few notes of frustration though- like forcing us to debate which aspect of selling was more important of two equally weighted parts. As a formal debate. For real. This is as useless as debating the chicken or the egg, and you feel stupid because the arguments you are being forced to make
aren't valid since you know
both are necessary.
Also, stating that you don't want us to focus on questions, but asking us to write down what we need to discover from a client is a catch-22. Writing down "Who do they call" and "What is their lifestyle" and "Where do they use their phone"is the SAME DAMN THING as writing "Lifestyle" and "Calling circle" and "Travel" on a board. The
question is
implied and no, I am not 'being smart' by pointing this out. I'm annoyed at the fact you fail to see this.
So yeah. I hate training because what I get out of it is inversely proportionate to what it sucks out of me, and I still have another 8 hous to do. Blargh.
In response to this headache and aggrivation:
music!I bring you what I call static, or thinking music: repeating beat, unending pulse, a piano chord that runs throughout- a sampling of sounds, the cracked tick of a clock- or the truncated clap of hands- and the slightest static- as all of it perhaps once came off an old vinyl, kept high in a closet somewhere.
This is a song I work to, often on loop for hours. Total playcount is over 300 times, according to itunes. Just put it on and think.
