Luke Brownell’s journey began at Charis Bible College in Colorado Springs, where he not only pursued his calling but also met the love of his life, Angela. The two were married in December 2001, and Luke was ordained by Charis in 2005, launching a season of faithful service in various ministry roles.
In 2017, Luke and his growing family made the move to Allen, Texas. Three years later, in November 2020, they walked through the doors of One Community Church and immediately felt at home. The connection with the pastors, leadership, and vision was undeniable, and by March 2021, Luke stepped into his role as Community Pastor of the Prosper Campus.

What drives Luke? Helping people cultivate a deep, authentic relationship with Jesus and discovering their unique place in ministry. He believes everyone has gifts meant to build God’s kingdom, and he’s committed to helping them find where they fit.

Today, Luke and Angela live in Celina with their five children. When they’re not at church, you’ll find them gathered around for family movie nights or cheering from the sidelines at their kids’ sporting events.
