Hello, hello!! Not everyone wants to go through the trouble of looking through the profile page to understand what I like and such, so I figured I ought to present myself better.
I'm vermillion. I've been assigned multiple nicknames over the years, so you can make up your own, if you find vermillion is a bit long to type.
Anyway, I'm a huge visual kei fan. More specifically, I really like kurofuku, okeshou, kote and nagoya kei.
Favourite bands: Luna Sea (especially between 1989-1996), Dead End, Dir en Grey, mostly. I listen to a ton more on the daily, bands such as Kuroyume, L'Arc~en~Ciel (yes, I know they distance themselves from their vkei past..), etc.
Favourite sound: I love the traditional kurofuku sound, darker, hard rock and prog rock-ish. Although, I have most other genres in my playlist too. As such, I tend to be a demo enjoyer (as in song demos and not their official releases), because they tend to have that extra hard flair to them.

That's a short introduction as to what I like in visual kei, though I spend a lot of my time watching vkei lives as well and had to restrain myself from not posting a ton of videos. Will have to do a post on that though.
As for other things I enjoy, I am currently majoring in (East) Asian Studies, and I love anthropology, archaeology, history, and linguistics. I love reading books and my bookshelf is overflowing with books. I am especially a big fan of gothic literature, my favourite book is Dracula by Bram Stoker and I also own Carmilla and The Vampyre, both of which I like. I like gothic architecture as well. Aside from gothic I think I like mostly classics, such as Moby Dick, Anna Karenina and others.
Art wise, I'm not too too knowledgeable, but I like the romanticism movement.
Finally, I really quite like movies, my favourite being Fallen Angels (1995), Love Letter (1995), and April Story (1998).
Thank you for reading and, well, I hope you enjoy your stay on my journal!
