dreading work tomorrow

We've had some "office politics" type problems going on recently, that have resulted in me having almost all of my shifts taken off me. So I'm now only working Saturdays and Sundays and the occasional Friday afternoon for the rest of the year.

tomorrow is the first day I'm showing my face there since it happened - and it's embarrasing. I'd rather go collect my teacup and tell them where to stick their job - but I've got to be a grown up about it

being a grown up sucks.

but I've little interesting going on
Maybe I'll find my camaera and photoraph my lunch or something

i dunno

for tonight though, it's Friday night 10pm, I'm home on my own, and I've got to get up early tomorow to go to work.

I'm expecting that soon I'll be working only Saturday and Sundays.
When I said I wanted to work part time, this was exactly what I didn't mean
I miss my social life



I don't know what it is about this hat
they've been taking it in turns to sleep in it all night

my boss gets confused easily
normally this is fine with me, we work round it and it's ok

but today she sent me home, and doens't want me back until next week, because she says she doens't want to be paying for extra people when the shop is so quiet

which sounds fine doens't it?
except she wasn't paying me for my time - I was doing the MUR consulations she wanted doing urgently and only being paid per consultation, and while I waitied for a suitable customer to do a consultation with, I was helping out in the shop *for free*.

I just got sent home for working for free

also now I'm at home, I cna't do the consultations. Now I'm gettig paid nothing at all
which is a bit of a problem.
and the consultations arn't getting done

We didn't want to say anything in the middle of everyone's christmases,
But Dad died on Wednesday morning.

He had prostate cancer

facebook seem to be suspending half my friend's accounts
(well, 3 of them so far)

so I'm voting with my feet, and returning to LJ, and posting the dull things I do with my days, and my pictures of cats here instead

Today I walked Paul to the train station, went to the supermarket, and then spent the afternoon at a training session with my old boss. Which was actually quite fun, surprisingly.
Might just possibly have secured myself a weeks work over chirstmas :D

and tonight the memepunks are rehearsing in my basement, and I'm feeding them all spagbol



what have all of you lovely LJ people been up to since I've been gone?

so, for my new year's resolution - I'm going to go a whole year without getting so drunk that I become that girl that cries in the corner at her friend's birthday party.

uni results are out

I got a 2:1

I beat my Dad, I beat my Mum, and I beat my own previous record

I've had enough of revising now - 3 and half weeks to go and it's over

So these are the other things I've done, in between revising - listed so that I don't feel so hard done by sitting alone in my room on a Saturday

Wednesday I watched Game of Thrones
On Thursday I watched some TV, and then went to the pub and saw lots of people
Yesterday I learned that courgette plants have male and female flowers on the same plant, and how to tell them apart, and later I ate takeout
Today I have made awesome apple and sultana cake, some of it even made it into the oven!

i have an exam at 9am on Monday morning

which is just plain not fair really - who can do an exam after getting off rush hour London transport?
